Harry Potter and the sorceror's stone: chapter one: Letters

Y/n sat in her room reading F/b when her mom, M/n called her downstairs. " Y/n! There's something in the mail for you!" " Coming mom!" Y/n yelled down the stairs.  When Y/n was downstairs, She went into the kitchen where her mom was making supper. " Hey kiddo" her mom said. "The letter is over there." Her mother pointed to a envelope with a strange stamp on it. "Okay mother. Thanks!" Y/n said as she hugged her mom. Y/n opened the letter. The first words said ' Congratulations, Y/n L/n. You have been accepted into Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.' Immediately Y/n showed her mom. Her mother stood shocked. She said "It's a prank, Sweetie." You knew by the tone of her voice the case was closed, but you felt the need to defend this strange letter. "What if it's real mother!" You started but she cut you off with a "Honey, Wizards aren't real" "Fine." You huffed, walking away. You sat in your bed just wondering if you really are a witch and your mom just doesn't know. 'Maybe' you thought, just as your mother called you downstairs. "Honey, I'm sorry for doubting the letter, you really are a witch." "I am!" You shouted happily. "Yes, me and your father got a letter from your headmaster. His name was Albus Dumbledore. He told what you needed to do." "Ok so what do I need to do?" You asked. "Get some rest and we'll tell in the morning, Princess." Your dad, D/n said. "Okay Daddy." You said, as you ran up the stairs to go to bed.
