"Oh, look it's the whore." Andy said poking Lana (erm, you have not given me a name, soo .. I improvised.) on her chest. His long finger stabbed her, and it hurt her. She did not dare speak back; he could lock her in the janitors closet again. She bit her lip, wincing at the pain, when he shoved her against the locker.
It was the last day of school, and Lana was actually happy to get away from the troubles. She couldn't bare one more minute in this hell hole, they call school. When school was finally over and everyone went their separate ways, she stood behind cleaning out her locker.
She was the only one in the hallway, but she liked it that way. No one bothered her, no one bumped into her, and no one called her names. She was free. Lana heard footsteps, but decided to ignore it because it's probably the custodian.
When the footsteps got louder she snapped her head, to see Andy. "Well, look who it is: Lana." Andy towered over her; she got up fast and tried backing away. He grabbed her arm and forced her into her own locker. "Stop! Stop it ! What are you- get off me!" When she was in the locker he slammed it shut, in her face. He slammed his fist into the locker door, "Now, be a good girl, and stay in here." He demanded through gritted teeth.
After 20 minutes of waiting for someone to come to her rescue, she saw the custodian, and screamed out for him. When he came to her and opened the locker with the key, she immediately ran out the school, crying.
She gives up.
Six years later.
Andy had gotten his life together. He's in a very successful rock band, every girl cries over. Lana is a kindergarten teacher, and she is proud of her success. After six years, of no bullying, no name calling, and no Andy in general, her life is just peachy.
Andy never really thought about his life, and what he had done in his life. When he sat down on the bed of his room, he thought about the wrong he had done, and the pain he inflicted on others. What have I done? He thought to himself. The first name that came to his mind was: Lana. Poor Lana, he was so sorry.
After talking to his friends about booking the next flight to Ohio, he packed his things. When he packed his things, boarded the plane, and took off, all he could think about was what to say when he sees her. Where is she?
The plane landed, and after about 10 minutes of asking everyone if they knew her and where she would be; he found her location. A school. "Um, I was wondering, if you could tell me where I could find a Lana Ruiz. (don't judge. I'm making it up, bare with me.)" He asked the lady at the front desk. She seemed very sluggish, but she gave him the information he needs and that's good enough for him. "Room 105."
He walked along the narrow hallway, his long, lean legs taking him to his destination faster. When he got there, he stood outside the door, watching her through the glass window. She was beautiful. Her hair was shoulder length, her skin was pale, but not too much, and her eyes were olive green.
He opened the door; her eyes wandered to him standing there. In her mind, he was the least expected person to walk through that door. "Andy? W-what are you doing here?" She stood up from crouching down next to a student she was helping. "I just wanted to see you," His eyes wandered off into hers, and he couldn't look away. "Well ... You could see me some other time."
"That's not nice." The little boy, in her class stated, Andy smiled at him then at her, "Yeah, what he said." Lana looked at him, trying to forget the bad memories. When she gestured for him to walk out the class, he did. They both stood outside the class, staring at each other. They were shocked to actually see each other. They thought they would never have to look into each others eyes, ever again. They were wrong.
"I'm sorry for the pain I have caused. I'm sorry for being an asshole, and if I could take it all back I would." He almost looked as if he was going to cry, but did not. Lana shook her head, "You had your chance, but you blew it. Why say sorry now?"
"Because I have regret and if I didn't come down here to say sorry, I wouldn't live with myself. I mean, fuck my life, I don't care for me. I'm just sorry for treating you like you're less than me." He moved closer to her. His rough hands made contact with her cheek. She flinched at first, but calmed herself, when it soon felt like a nice gesture. His thumb caressed her soft skin; he really did feel bad, but whose going to believe a 'use to be school asshole'?
When they made eye contact, his thumb gently grazed her bottom lip. It was as if he didn't even touch her at all. But she liked the feeling it gave her, her skin burned up and her stomach had a swarm of butterflies. He leaned in a bit closer, and she did too. Their lips had barely touched; their noses getting more of the satisfaction.
He tilted his head a little, but not too much. When their lips connected, the swarm of butterflies in her stomach bursted.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. Their foreheads touching.
"It's okay." She backed away, just enough to look into his blue eyes.
