Chapter 4

I'm still being surprised, from the moment I walked into Derek at the office inside my school up until the moment we landed in the freaking Bahamas! Walking into him at my school was a shock. I thought I'd never see him again. Then there he was standing at the front office trying to leave a note for me that probably would have never reached me. I'm just so happy that he's really feeling me and that he seems sincere. He actually was listening to me last night when I was talking so that's a plus. After him surprising me at my school he leads me outside to a waiting limo and then he takes me to the airport where we charter his freaking G5! This day has been unbelievable! I am so thankful for everything he's doing for me. We just met yesterday and we're celebrating my birthday like we knew each other forever! Maybe I've finally found the one! MAYBE! Derek I can't believe that we're in the Bahamas. Well believe it he chuckles in response. I have a beautiful day planned for us. We enter another limousine. We are then taken to this exquisite restaurant. I let him order for me. We talk over mind blowing food and fancy margaritas until we are finished at the restaurant. I feel a little over tipsy and I think he can tell. Derek I am so happy that I met you I blurt. I grab my mouth. Sorry I whisper. No you don't have to be sorry because I feel the same way about you. I feel like I finally found someone that is worth my time and effort. I smile while looking into his eyes. He leans in and kiss my lips. I don't fight it and we end up sharing an intense kiss. I can feel our sexual energy building. I never had sex before and don't know how to break the news to Derek. I want him to know that I'm not going to do anything with him until I am comfortable with him. I won't think about that until the time comes. He pulls away from me and stares at me, I put my head down embarrassed. He lifts my chin up so we can be eye to eye again, I'm just staring at you to make sure this is real. I smile and giggle. Yes it's very real Derek in fact I'm very real I say swiping my hands over my body in a "look at all of this" gesture. He grins. He pays our tab and then we retreat to the front of the restaurant. For the next portion of this date you won't need those he points to my shoes. He bends down and helps me out of my pumps. We walk hand in hand to the beach. The beach is beautiful and the water is crystal clear. The view is breath taking! So Precious tell me more about yourself he says. Ok so you already know I attend university. He nods in his approval. What you don't know is that my parents passed away in a car accident when I was sixteen I say dropping down into the sand. The margaritas I drunk have me emotional. I burst into tears. Derek drops down beside me and holds me in his arms. It's ok Precious. I know you're hurting but you already got through the worst of it. I know they are in a better place looking down on you smiling at the women you're becoming. I look up at him while wiping my eyes and nose with back of my arms. He pulls his handkerchief out of his shirt and wipes my nose and arms. Thank you I say. He smiles at me. After about two minutes I finally pull myself together. I look at him and say from me being a big baby I ruined our clothes. We both laugh. It's ok baby girl these are just material things, they come and go. He helps me to my feet and we resume our trek through the sand. I go on to tell him the little bit of stuff there is to know about me. Only thing I leave out is that I don't live in Miami I'm just going to school here although I do tell him that I'm from California. I don't want to ruin the moment. So Derek I believe it's your turn. Ok, I'm my parents only real child, but they adopted a pair of twin girls. They're younger than me, they are 21 like you. They are the apples of my eyes. I love them to death! I'll do anything for them. I went to the university of Miami as well. I majored in business management. I'm from Orlando. I'm 28 as you already know. He puts his chin in between his thumb and pointer finger in a "hmmm" gesture. I think that's about it. We continue walking and sharing small talk until we reach a band of musicians. A little dance floor is set on top of the sand and Derek ushers me onto it. Can I have this dance he says. The musicians began to play "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. He brings my body close to his and we begin our dance. We dance the whole song away and I am in bliss. After the song the musicians give us a standing ovation. I blush. Wow you two were so in tune with one another you two make a beautiful couple states one of the female musicians. If I could turn red my face would have been the best shade. Thank you we both say in unison. Derek leans in and kisses me on my cheek. He tips all of the musicians and we walk back towards the way we came. When we arrive back to the restaurant our limo driver is waiting for us. He takes us to a hotel not to far from the restaurant. When we get to our room and step inside. We stop at the entrance, I didn't know how comfortable you'd be with sleeping together so I booked two rooms. He motions to the open door leading to the room next door,they're adjoining rooms. If you do feel comfortable you can sleep in my room but if not that's fine. I feel my heart swell. He is such a gentlemen. I feel a connection between us I know he is the one for me. At least the one for me right now. Thank you so much for considering my feelings that's so thoughtful of you. I would prefer for us to sleep separately but the door can stay open. Thank you for the spectacular night, I had so much fun. You're welcome beautiful it was my pleasure he say taking my hand and kissing it. Then he kisses my lips. I feel the heat in between my legs intensify. My heart starts beating rapidly and my panties get wet. Before I do something insane I pull away. Thank you again I say and rush through the door to my room. I rush to the bed and stumble onto it, my legs almost gave out on me. He makes me feel so good but I'm just scared to tell him that I never had sex before. I know eventually I'll have to reveal that fact, but just not tonight. I strip out of my clothes and walk to the bathroom. I need to wash all of this sand off of me. I hope I didn't scare him away with how I abruptly cut off our kiss. I ponder the idea while stepping into the shower. We'll talk in the morning I decide and let the steamy water hit my skin.
