I stepped off the bus ignoring the annoying screaming and yelling of the other seventh graders behind me, And I looked up at my school with all the memories I had from sixth grade, and thought of all the new memories I would make this year. A little smile crawled on my face as I sighed a slight breath of relief, and started walking towards the familiar building. I was headed to my locker and felt a cold breeze blow right by me, it was so weird, I felt as if I could actually see it. It almost looked like a shadow.. of some sort. I arrived at my locker and in the middle of turning the lock to the first number of my combination, I heard a very familiar voice scream "Oh my god! Hey Alley!" I turned my head and suddenly felt a tight squeeze on my stomach, she had hugged me so fast I couldn't even figure out who it was until she let go of me. It was my good "friend" Mackenzie Fergunson from last year. There's really not much I can tell you about her because her life is pretty boring in my opinion, but she reads a lot of books and is always looking for someone new to become friends with. "Hi" I replied casually. "Oh my god how are you!? How was your summer?" Mackenzie snapped back, almost seeming kind of sarcastic.. "Good, yours?" I said with no thought at all. "Probably better than yours!" she exclaimed. Ah, typical Mackenzie, always finding something rude to say to ruin a normal conversation. At that point, I didn't say anything back,  I just left her with a slight smile and turned back around to my locker. "See you in class!" Mackenzie screamed. I rolled my eyes to myself after that, "Whatever" I mumbled under my breath.  The first five minutes of science class were pretty boring, and I only recognized a few faces from last year, Derex Houghton, Carly Nelson, and Raegen Jordyn. I mostly was drawing the whole class, because I had too many thoughts stuffed into my brain, and was trying to put them down in drawings. My first one was a picture of one of those, half evil, half good wolves. And my other was just a dark, shadowy figure that I couldn't even figure out what it was supposed to be myself. But for some reason, I couldn't stop thinking about it.. It was like it took over my mind for the whole day. I heard a loud ringing noise, it was the bell. I was so caught up in my drawings I didn't realize it was time for lunch! Until I heard everybody screaming "FOOD!" Then I got the hint. I didn't really like sitting by my "friends" yes, "friends" not friends at lunch. Just because they were always sort of rude to me, and I know that I'm sensitive, but some of the things they say, just get to me. "Hey girl!" Demara yelled in a really girly voice. 'Um..what was that..?' I thought to myself. "Come sit here!" Demara exclaimed again. "Yeah!" Clair screamed chiming in. I just rolled my eyes and thought to myself 'Maybe If I pretend not to hear them, They'll stop'. Okay, first off, this is what I was talking about. My annoying "friends" from last year, I am also the polar opposite from all of them. They're all girly, I'm a tomboy, They like bright colors and love songs, I like rap and rock, and dark colors. But although I'm pretty quiet, I still have a voice. "C'mon!" screamed Mackenzie. But I just pretended like I didn't hear anything, and kept walking. After that, I went and sat by my pretty good friends, Raven, Heaven, Faith, Rose, and Renevae. "Hey Alley" said Raven (Normally for once today). "Hey" I replied. "How was your summer?" Heaven asked. "Pretty good" I said. After the silence lasted for a few seconds, Rose started talking about how she went camping and stuff over the summer. But I couldn't get that picture out of my head...that.. shadow. "Row four!" The teacher yelled carelessly into her microphone. "C'mon Alley" Faith said to me. "huh?" I said confused. I looked around myself and everyone in my row was going to go get food. "Oh.. right" I said basically to myself, because all of my friends were way ahead of me. I went up and got my lunch. I got a chocolate milk, a salad, chips, and a fudge bar. Lunch wasn't all that exciting in my opinion, to be honest. After lunch, I found myself sitting in the classroom again drawing the same shadowy figure I had seen that morning. I don't know what it was, but there was something about that shadow.. just...something. At the end of the day, I walked outside and saw my dad's blue ram truck with those cheesy fire flames on the sides. "Hey hun" my dad said as I threw my backpack on the floor of the car. "Hey dad" I said quietly. "How was your first day back at school?" my dad asked. "Good" I said not really thinking. I looked at him and gave him a small smile. He smiled back at me, then started steering his truck out of the parking lot. He started blaring some cool rap song on the radio like he always does, and started driving. I didn't really say anything to him, I just stared out the window thinking about.. Shadow. When I got home I went straight up to my room and started writing the details down of the shadow. "Hey hun?" my dad yelled from downstairs. "Yeah?" I yelled back, "I'm gonna go run some errands, you think you'll be okay if I leave?" He asked. "Yeah, bye dad" I answered. "Okay, bye" he said, and then I heard the garage door open and shut. My mom works pretty late, she goes into work at 4:00PM, right before I get home from school, and usually comes home around 12:00AM. All I was pretty much doing was sitting at my desk, drawing and writing about Shadow, (since that's what I've decided to call him). An hour passed and my dad still wasn't back yet, but my dads always usually unpredictable. He's stayed out all night before, so I didn't expect him to get home anytime soon, which I really didn't mind at all actually. It was about 6:00PM now, and that's when I saw it again.. it was him, Shadow.
