Waking up to nothing but the pain in your stomach, you can feel each little cell of bacteria feeding on the inside of your intestines, slowly working its way through the layers of the intestines. First the intestinal villi is gone before they had been able to enter the intestinal crypts, slowly eating their way to the muscularis mucosae. Oh, how you long to hold yourself to help ease the pain or even let out a scream of pure agony of how your body feels as it is slowly being eaten alive by bacteria, the same bacteria that starts eating its way through the submucosa. Within your echoing mind, your screams grow louder, and with that, your body shakes violently within your small tomb six feet under the cries of your loved ones. Yet, in reality, your body stands painfully stiff as only your mind races in fear of the pain. Only one stable thought comes to your mind as you lie there crying loudly in pain, 'Perhaps the pain will settle with sleep." With that... you close the eyes of your mind and enclose yourself in nothing but darkness.
