Tyler's POV

I glance over at Troye, watching him slowly erupt into laughter. Troye has just arrived from Perth, and boy did I miss him. Troye just needed to come to the US once again because he missed his friends. So much so that Troye had taken the lead and invited the Holy Trinity over just before his plane landed. They were to arrive at around 5:00pm, giving Troye a few hours to settle in.
Troye and I made a decision that he'd stay at my apartment, and save a few hundred dollars. He is planning on staying for 2 weeks. 2 weeks definitely isn't long enough.
"And that's when the waiter gave me his number!" Grace shrieks, making everyone crack up.
"I need a drink. Tyler? Got anything good?" Mamrie shouts from across the room, pretty oblivious to the fact that I've never had a house without a good drink or two.
"Jesus Mamrie, we've known each other this long and you think I don't have a good drink?" I snort back at her.
"I'll go get something for you girls," Troye laughs. I feel bad for making him get up, as I could have easily gotten it myself, whereas Troye had to walk around the entire room.
Troye comes back a minute later with God knows what in his hands. Still feeling bad, I offer to help. Instead of answering me, he grins foolishly and slides next to me on the couch. Dangerously close if you ask me.
We drink, make a toast to Troye, and just talk about anything and everything. Yet, even though I really am trying to listen to the conversation at hand, all I can think about is how close Troye is. Don't get me wrong, I like it. I also enjoy this because I finally wasn't the one initiating it. I was usually the one to tuck the little curl behind his ears, or put my hand on his. Troye never seemed to not enjoy all the little things I'd do, but he didn't seem like he liked them either.
"Shit, I have to get up early for a meeting. Shit, shit, shit. God, we gotta go guys." Grace announces across the room.
"But do we have to go together?" Hannah replies, clearly angry at Grace for making her leave so 'early'. It was very nice that Troye invited them over, but I wish he hadn't, or planned it for a later date. All I needed right now was some alone time with Troye.
"Let's go, Hannah" Grace says, slowly standing up, and trying to make her feet move one after another. I help her up, and call an uber for her and the rest of the gang.
By the time they left, Troye was done cleaning up the mess and was sitting on the couch with his laptop. I lean over to see what he's doing, and am not surprised to see that Troye was on Tumblr.
"Hey Troye," I whisper, not wanting to break the silence. He looks so peaceful. Just sitting there, casually looking at Tumblr.
"Hello Tyler," Troye says in the cutest Australian accent. I sit down next to him and lean against his shoulder. He shifts over, further away from me. I'm sure that it's just out of comfort. Not that he thinks we're too close. No, it can't be.
I look up at him, his soft nose, sharp jawline, the crooked grin slowly forming on his face.
"Oh my god, Troye, go back! Did you see that?" I say trying to get my mind off of him.
He finds the picture and laughs hysterically. I figure I should probably go to bed now, because Connor, Korey, and Sawyer are coming over tomorrow morning. Troye will be meeting Angelique, Sawyer's girlfriend for the first time tomorrow. They'll need to leave early because of the huge festival happening tomorrow night. We decide on them coming over at noon.
"Let's go to bed now," I slowly whisper.
"Goodnight, Tyler," Troye says in the same tone as I had just spoken in.
"Goodnight, Troye," I sigh. I quickly sit up and leave the room.
