Lex's POV
I felt the heat of that godforsaken drink go down my throat. As soon as I downed it all, I felt my stomach twist. Without wasting time, I sprinted out of the room and went to the nearest toilet and puked it all out.
Cassie's crazy. That drink was worse than poison. And that says a lot since I've had my fair share. If I get hospitalized tomorrow, she'll never get her hands on alcohol again. And that goes with wine too.
As soon as I finished vomiting my insides out, I realized the soft comforting rubs on my back. I figured who the owner was judging from the tingles that I'm feeling.
"I'm sorry. I guess that question was too personal", Rachel's soft voice filled the insides of the bathroom. I stepped away from the toilet and it immediately flushed down the contents of the dreaded drink I had.
"Nah, the previous questions were actually more personal. I just don't feel like revealing who I liked just yet", I managed to say while panting. I walked to the sink, removed my eyeglasses and washed my face. I looked at the mirror to see her looking at me.
"When I said you're our friend, I meant it, Lex. I know you and Cassie went through a lot but you don't need to bottle things up", Rachel said in a stern voice making me chuckle.
"Whatever, Ray. There's no need to fuss over a stupid crush", I turned around to face her. I immediately regretted it because her blue eyes stared through me. And I felt myself getting lost in them.
I leaned against the sink to steady myself and to hopefully look calm under her gaze. She raised her eyebrow and damn, that is sexy.Okay, Lex. Breathe, relax.
"I meant about your parents, Lex", Rachel said as she rolled her eyes. "If you don't wanna talk about the love of your life then fine with me. I'm not gonna push it."
"Yeah, right. Says the one who made her bestfriend admit her sexuality. I saw what you did with the hug, Ashford", I retorted with a chuckle before ruffling her hair. I walked out of the bathroom and waited outside as she fixed her hair.
She pouted and playfully squinted her eyes at me as she finished. I just chuckled earning another eyeroll and a playful slap. "Seriously, Lex. You should stop calling me Ashford. I heard you called me Ray. I prefer that one."
We headed back to the room where everyone's waiting. I smacked Cassie on the back of her head for the drink she mixed. She pouted as she looked at me while rubbing her head. "Cut it out, Cassie. You look like a gorilla when you pout", I said earning snickers from everyone.
Everyone then agreed not to continue the asking game anymore. I guess they were afraid of Cassie's drink. I know I'm still looking green and I felt awful. We decided to watch a movie instead but we ended up watching some Sherlock series entitled Elementary. Cassie insisted since it was her birthday, not that I mind. Lucy Liu was freaking awesome and Johnny Lee Miller was hilarious.
We were on the middle of the third episode when my phone rang. They almost literally kicked me out. I answered as soon as I got out and spedwalked which ended to running so I could get to my room for privacy.
"Yes, Nana. How's the pest?", I barely said while panting.
"Munchkins! Why on earth are you panting?! Don't tell me you're having sex with Rachel already!", Nana literally screamed through the phone. I felt my ears grow hot.
"What the heck?! No! For crying out loud, I just literally ran from the covered pool side to my room. And Nana, she's off limits!", I can feel my eyes bulging from my sockets and my veins popping out of my neck as I paced all over my room.
