"I really don't want to go to this parent teacher thing."
"I'll go."
"You just got out the hospital."
"But I gave birth 3 days ago. I'm pretty sure I'm okay."
"We can go together."
"I don't want Janelle out there like that."
"Please make up your mind Nic."
"I'll go. I'm taking Pap with me."
I took Janelle from her and sat back down on the bed.
"I guess I'll call Rika. I'm going to be lonely."
"Come on. You going with me."
"I just changed into something comfortable."
"Just put on some tights and a shirt. The thing starts at 7."
I laid Janelle on my chest and she looked at me.
"Can you get that chest carrier?", she asked.
"Yeah. Where is it?"
"It should be hanging behind the door."
I got up and took Janelle with me. I walked into her room and looked behind the door and took the baby carrier off the doorknob.
"Found it.", I said walking in the room.
"Papi's downstairs playing with the dogs."
"I don't want them near her."
"Meek come on."
"When we get Titan's nails clipped then he can come near her."
"He just got his nails clipped."
"Oh. They looked sharp to me."
"Traffic is going to be bad and I want to get a good parking spot. We need to get going."
"I've been ready. Let's go."
I got the baby bag and picked up the blanket.
"Come on Pap."
I opened the door and walked out behind them then locked it.
"I don't feel like taking the Range again. Let's take the Ford.", I said and she nodded.
I opened the car door and put Janelle in the car seat then put her bag on Papi's lap. I gave her the pacifier and closed the door and got in the car.
"You sure you don't want to stay here?"
"I'm fine baby."
"Alright."

"You putting on that baby carrier?", I asked.
"I can't. I thought you were putting it on."
"Why can't you?"
"My chest hurts."
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I got it.", I said and got out.
I opened the door and saw that she was sleeping. I reached over and got the thing then put it on.
"Aren't the females supposed to wear this? It feels weird."
"Stop acting like you didn't wear it before."
