Kylo Ren's P.O.V.
Day two;
It is the second day of having my apprentice, we didn't do anything yesterday. Mainly because I was going to kill her if I spent anymore time around her.
(He didn't even bother to learn her name; it's Piper ~ Hux)
Hux got into the journal, damn him. But yeah, I'm a bad mentor because I couldn't care about her name. What do I call her? Apprentice, and she responds to that. Why change it?
But, yeah, second day of having her.
I woke her up, early the morning by pounding on her door and making her dog, Jaspan, start barking like crazy and possibly waking everybody else up in the whole base. I opened the door without a care as to what she looked like and she was glaring at me from under her blanket while Jaspen had tried to pull on my cape again, I levitated the dog off the ground so it wouldn't come near me or bother me while I talked to Piper, "Get up, Apprentice," my one eye observed her as she continued to glare.
Maybe she slept with her eyes open... how weird that would be, I continued, nonetheless; "Today we start your training in ten minutes, leave your room, go to the right, walk down the hall and it's the forth door on your left." And with that, I moved the dog over to her bed, set it down and promptly left. No, I didn't bother with telling her what would happen if she didn't show up, I'd just drag her out myself.
She came on time at least, looking a bit tired and pissy, but which woman wasn't pissy? Piper wore a loose cotton shirt (called a t-shirt), with 'sweatpants'. It was a horrible choice of clothing, perhaps just something she tossed on.
I wore a loose shirt with pants that didn't cling to me; or that were too big I almost tripped on them. Then I started my lecture, walking around Piper, I explained what she would be doing; "You will be referring to me as Master Ren..."
She made an unhappy sound in her throat as the mood in the room suddenly changed, I didn't know if it was good change or a bad change, but I didn't question it, "You will build your own weapon from scratch, you will respect me at all times and listen to what I say."
She nipped on her bottom lip while looking at me, I stopped in front of her before taking two staffs from the rack and handing one to her, "Are you sure this will be fair?" She gave a slight smirk as she glanced to my bandaged eye, and that was certainly infuriating. I did not say a word, but I would prove her that I do not need to see to fight.
I took up a stance and waited for her to do the same; the second she did, I moved quick, striking her in her hand and then using the end to hit her hard in the chest, immediately knocking the wind out of her and making her fall back, a triumphant look came to my face as I looked down at her, "Fair enough?" I questioned, looking over to her with a satisfied smirk on my face.
Her eyes narrowed slightly before she was up on her feet and keeping the staff protecting her body as she waited for my move, how kind of her.
I didn't wait for Piper to change her mind, I moved to repeat the strike I head earlier; which she was prepared for, while she went to block her chest, I smacked the staff against her stomach before using it to trip her and make her fall once more. The breath escaping her lungs as she may there, grunting softly and trying not to show her pain, admirable. But that wouldn't help when she was fighting for her life.
"Get up." I ordered; then, this went on for an hour longer before she just backed away from my advances, "Can we stop, Kylo?" My apprentice asked breathlessly, that certainly made me stop and stare at her to see if she'd correct herself, she didn't. She just glared at me; "I requested you to call me 'Master' Ren." I told her, n it allowing anger to sleep into my voice, or my eyes.
But it showed in my body language, "Yeah, no." She chuckled with a shake if her head, "Fuck that shit."
"Excuse me?!" I was on the verge of another blow up, but I managed to keep myself under control as I watched her walk off to grab a towel, "If you lived in earth, you would not want me to call you that. It has an odd... symbolism." She explained, moving her hand around slightly, "Need I remind you that we are not on earth?!" I shouted, to which she just glared, "Yeah, no shit Sherlock."
I was getting frustrated because I didn't understand half the things she was saying and just was too prideful to admit that, so I just waited for her next reply.
"Just because I'm not on earth doesn't mean I don't remember it." She told me, wiping her face off, "Now, please; it is extremely uncomfortable for me to say it. I'll just call you 'Mentor' or something."
My silence was her answer to what she had said; master apparently was something on earth that made her uncomfortable. Of course, every planet and solar system does things differently... hers is just stuck in the past.
And yes, I did not argue with her wishes. It's not worth big deal really.
I was only pissed that she didn't listen to me.
