"So tell me Carlo, what is exactly a rally race?" said Mike as he was getting into the MINI Countryman.

"Well, basically it is a dirt road with a lot of rocks, jumps, and of course dirt! It is really dangerous, but i wouldn't worry. You do know how to drive a Stick shift, right?" said Carlo.

"Um...yeah." said Mike. Mike didn't really know how to drive a stick shift. He driven one before, but it was only one time. Mike didn't want to learn, either. He wanted to use the paddle shifters and let the car shift for him. Not him shifting the car. He knew how fun it was, but he didn't wanna show Carlo that he didn't know how to drive a stick shift. He didn't know what to do. So he waited until Carlo left and he started up the Countryman Slow. He put his foot down on the clutch pedal and shifted it into First Gear. "Alright. Lets try and make it home without Stalling." said Mike as he put the handbrake down. He slowly took his foot off of the clutch. There was a sudden jerk from the car. Mike tried to get the car to go again, but it wouldn't move! Mike checked the start button. The car wasn't on! Mike stalled! Mike let out a big groan, but started the car. This time he made sure the handbrake was down all the way, and the car started to move. He gassed it a tiny bit and pulled out of the parking lot onto the road.

Mike started to head towards the highway. The Countryman's engine was at 5000 RPM.  He shifted into Second gear and the car was now at 2500 RPM. He got onto the highway and gassed it. The car slowly got louder, and soon the car was at its max RPM. Mike didn't know what was going on. He forgot that he had to shift. He then remembered that he needed to shift up, and he did, leaving the car at 4500 RPM. Mike shifted once again into fourth gear, and started making his way to the exit for the feeder road.

Mike exited and got stopped by a red light. Shifting it into first gear, Mike tried to race the Mustang next to him. Revving the engine to signal that Mike wanted to race, the Mustang revved in response. The light turned green and Mike tried to pop the clutch. The car made another sudden jerk from the car. "Dang it!" Mike said as he turned the car on. He then took off as fast as he could and made it home.
