It's not my alarm clock that wakes me up, no, it is the blazing sun. "Yuvet, where the sun never dies" I mumble to myself.
After I convice myself to get out of bed I put on my outfit for the day. Even though the sun is shinning, like always, it feels a bit gloomy. I go down my old, worn out steps, whatching out for the gapping holes in them. Then carpet. Our main floor is all this dull red carpet, even the kitchen, which bothers me so much. "Eat up now Annie, ypu have a big day you know!" My mother says to me.
"Big day?" I tell her.
"You don't remember?" My mother asks looking surprised. I try to think about what this "big day" is about. I am out of school so it can't be anything with that. I am literally the worst with dates, you can tell me the day before something and still not remember it. But then it hits me. It's hovation day. How could I forget that, my mom has been nagging me all about it. Hovation day I think is just a pitiful waste of time. A Yuvet tradition of your 18 year old kid choosing their future husband, getting drunk for the first time in your life, buying a whole new wardrobe with goverment money, and having a big feast and festival about you. Now how could I forget about that? Oh, right because I don't care. I've always been non-sociable person. And I have never truly liked or loved someone. It is just not in my nature. And some people say that it is the actual "beginning" of your life.
