Cheyenne pov:
It's been a month since I started teaching Max and well I think we've been drifting apart. He barely talks to me. He listens when I teach him, but right after he drops me off and leaves. It's been this way since we kissed that one time. I just don't understand what I did wrong, maybe it was the kiss I knew it was a destructive thing. Why did he have to kiss me? I stared out the window
"Cheyenne you okay?" I heard the max say in front of me.
Max pov:
Yes, I sat Cheyenne in the back seat when she's in the front. I can't help but look at her but for the past week she looks like she keeps getting more and more depressed I feel like it's my fault.
"I'm okay sorry was just thinking about what to teach you today" She said faintly giving me a smile that did not reach her eyes. Making my heart break, this needs to stop.
Cheyenne pov:
After teaching at our secret place, we started heading to the car.
"So um Cheyenne I don't think you should teach me anymore" Max quickly said I spun around and looked him straight in the eye.
"Max you know your life's in my hands" I joked but he looked serious. He shook his head no and looked at the ground. "Max what has been bugging you I want you to tell me I don't care what it is just tell me" I pleaded. Picturing not wanting to be near me hurt my heart. I loved spending time with him. I think I even love him, but it's really embarrassing. I looked up at him, and our eyes met, making my heart leap. Slowly he rubbed his neck.
"Well uh you see I uh um fine you know what Cheyenne I like you like I really like you but you don't feel the same so I want to stay away from you because I can't take the pain of you not returning my feelings" he blurted out. I stood in shock, staring at the ground. "See I knew it why was I ever so dumb" he laughed as he walked by me. I turned toward him, grabbing his hand. "Cheyenne" I heard him whisper. I love when he whispers I miss him whispering in my ear I miss everything I love him I do I have the same feelings as him. I leaned the top of my head on his chest. "Cheyenne" he questioned. I took a deep breath and lifted my head up meeting his lips. I smiled.
"Max I love you" I whispered.
"I love you too" he whispered back before sealing my lips with his.
