The car ride felt like it took forever, but they had finally arrived back into the town of Innkham. White's head was killing him, he touched at where his head was hurting and then looked at his hand, he was bleeding from this head. Maybe this explained the strange events he had just witnessed, he looked out the window at where they had arrived, the building didn't look anything special, in fact, they were right in the middle of the town. "Well get out, we've only got a little bit of moonlight for us to get in unnoticed." White tried to get out of the car and immediately collapsed from his blood loss, he was able to finally muster the strength required to stand up and walk towards the small house, about the halfway there, he fell, only to look up and see his new comrade climbing up the side of the building. By the time White made it to the door, The Bird had opened it for him and helped him inside and locked the door behind him. The Bird then proceeded to find a med pack and began to clean White's head wound. "I'm truly sorry about the car crash, it was the easiest way to fake your death and capture the cultist in one clean movement." White was barely able to reply from the blood loss. "C-clean? You killed the driver, that's anything but cle-" White couldn't finish his sentence as The Bird had shushed him. "Worry about it in the morning, as you need the rest." The Bird began to walk away before turning around to speak one last time. "I'll tell you what I am in the morning, there's the couch, it's pretty comfy, goodnight." White thought that maybe this was all a bad dream, maybe it'd go away and he'd awaken in his home and everything would be normal.

White had awoken right where he had remembered fallen asleep the night before, head still bandaged and feeling a little woozy. He looked around for The Bird, only to see him standing in a doorway watching him sleep. "What.....What the hell are you doing?" White could hear a faint laugh coming from behind The Bird's mask. "Why, I'm protecting my company, you've got yourself involved in some bad stuff ya know." White's head was still killing him. "So last night you said you'd tell me who you were, so I'm ready to hear about it." The Bird sighed and took off his gloves, showing his hands to White. "You see these symbols? Well I was....once involved in the cult of Sovankoh...in fact, I knew the guy personally." The Bird then proceeded to take off his mask, revealing his hellish pale face. He was lacking pupils and his eyebrows were a pure white color. "Me and Sovankoh were very good friends a long, long time ago, till one day he found a book. This book was a nameless tome, and we both immediately became obsessed with the book. After a while, Sovankoh attempted one of the rituals, which we eventually decided to call the enlightenment spell. When he performed the ritual, it was somehow a perfect action, leading to him having a perfectly unaffected body and soul, and then he attempted the spell on me. Little did I know that if you were enlightened by someone else, it left you branded by the symbol of their soul, as you can see on my hands. Me and Sovankoh continued our magical experiments until he found the rituals of power, which required a sacrifice. One day I had awoken tied up and gagged in the middle of a strange symbol, the symbol of Sovankoh's soul. He tried to apologize and make his madness not sound bad. He was able to successfully get halfway through the ritual, which is why I look this way, as I'm missing a large chunk of soul, I was able to escape after the ritual was miraculously interrupted, and so began me being on the run and fighting his cult, maybe one day getting my full soul back." White was amazed at this story, there was no way that he could've just came up with that.
