"Sky....Sky?....SKY!" Steph yelled.

I snapped out of it.

"Huh?"

"You just talked to Corey Haim. I heard on the news he was spotted at Manhattan Beach. You just described him with brown hair and blue eyes. Tell me it wasn't Corey Sky?" She said.

My mind flashed back to him. How had I not realized it was Corey Haim? THE Corey Haim. I remembered his face and suddenly realized. It was him.

"Oh my god," I whispered, "I talked to Corey Haim. THE LOST BOYS COREY HAIM. Holy shit Steph. I'm not believing this right now."

"You gotta call him. Like. Now." Steph demanded.

"He's probably busy or something. I think he made a mistake. Did he see me right? Maybe he thought I was someone else. Maybe he thought I was Kerri Green or something. I kinda look a little like her. Except I have darker hair. But maybe it looked blonde in the light. It was kinda dark out. Maybe he didn't see-"

"SKY!" Steph yelled.

"Oh. Uhm sorry." I stuttered.

"Call him." She hung up.

What was I supposed to say to Corey Haim? He'll probably think I'm some loser fan who got his number.
I looked down at my hand. The ink was smearing, bled into the crevices of my hands.
I picked up the phone and slowly dialed the number. I gulped loudly every button I punched in.

It began dialing. One dial. I gulped again. Second dial. Shit what was I gonna say? Third dial. My heart was pounding. Fourth dial. The room started spinning. Fifth dial. I hung up.

He didn't answer. I knew it. It was a mistake.

//COREYS POV//
After a long morning of shooting, I walked back over to the food counter. There was everything you could dream of there. Shark Bites, Squeeze-Its, Big Stuff Oreos, and every flavor of Hi-C known to mankind. I went for a coffee, I needed the energy, and a few Magic Middles.
I had someone wait in my trailer to see if anyone called so I went over and checked. I stepped inside and a cool air rushed over my whole body.

"Hey Marc..." He was asleep.

I nudged him. "Marc."

"Huh?" He yelled, departing his sweet sleep.

"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO WAIT FOR A CALL MAN!" I yelled.

"Ohh. Well if anyone called, I totally didn't hear it at all. By the way, these couch is super comfy."

I sighed.

//SKYS POV//
After going downstairs and getting a bowl of Smurf Berry Crunch, I decided to call again. I picked up the phone. And slammed it back down.

I can't do this.

I looked back down at my hand. Then my phone. Then back at my hand.

I can do this.

I picked up the phone and dialed the number again.

Dial one. I can do this. Dial two. It's gonna be-

"Hello?" Someone answered.

My heart dropped.

"Oh. Uhm. Hi," Oh great nice hello, "It's the girl. From the beach. I'm not sure if you rememb-"

"Oh no no. Of course I remember you." He said.

I exhaled. "Okay, I'm just going to be straight up with you." I was gonna keep my cool. And just tell him.

"YOUR COREY HAIM! YOUR THE ACTUAL COREY HAIM AND I CANT BEEELIEVE I HAVE YOUR NUMBER YOU GAVE IT TO ME! ME! OF ALL PEOPLE!" I screamed.

//COREYS POV//
Oh great she found out.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry I just said that. I do that a lot. Sorry." She said.

"Hey, no no, don't be sorry. Quite honestly, I was surpised you didn't know me when we first talked." I said.

"I know. Me too. I swore to myself that you looked so familiar."

Even through her finding out its me, she still talks to me like we've been friends since kindergarten.

I laughed. "I know. I'm sorry I didn't give you my name at the beach. I thought you just knew who I was." God, I sounded so cocky.

"Hey, uh, actually I never got your name either now that I think of it." I asked. I tried to sound completely clueless.

"It's Sky, short for Skylar."

My speeding heartbeat paused. Skip. Skip. Pound. Skip. Pound.

"Hello?" She asked.

"I'm sorry. It's just. Your name its. Perfect."

"Wow. Thank you. That, that means a lot."

From there, we talked for hours. Different people coming in every 15 minutes asking me to come back out to set, but my mind was somewhere else. It was locked into her voice. The world around me was frozen. Everything covered in ice. But me and her voice. We were the warmth.
She was something else. We talked about anything. Space, movies, theories, Prince, elephants, what we think about before we go to sleep, different kinds of toast. And not once did she even come close to asking me about my fame, my friends, people I've met, people I've worked with. She left it all behind. I was finally normal. She was perfect.
