Lucy POV
Just when I was about to apologise for bumping into him, I got a lashing. I growled inwardly. Maybe I shouldn't apologise to him after all.
"Watch where you're going! Fatty blond whore." The pink haired guy jabbed a finger at my face, as his own scrunched up in anger and frustration, as if he was on fire.
I was instantly wounded by his prickly words, unmashed and raw. I took a quick glance up at him, but it quickly turned into a long stare. As I stared at him, I felt like I was sucked into a whole new world.
And my heartbeat immediately skyrocketed to the air.
"Is this what they call... Love at first sight? It can't be, could it? Am I really crushing on someone that just stabbed me with horrid words?"
My gaze floated toward his wild yet soft hair tugged by the breeze, memories of my Mother flashed by me. The pink shade of his hair was like the Sakura flowers in Magnolia gardens where my Mother used to have picnics with me. Where the fluttery petals would be pink by day and fade to a soothing rainbow color by night.
I couldn't hold it. Mother... The picnics... How we laughed and discussed about everything under the sun... How she caressed my face as if it was the last diamond on earth... I touched my own.
"Mom..."
Imagine my shock to realise my face was wet, streaked with tears. I wiped my tears, as if trying to shake away my memories and my feeling for Mother.
"Natsuuuuuu!" A woman's voice boomed, snapped me back to reality. The pink-haired guy froze. All colour was drained from his face. He turned around rigidly, then grinned sheepishly.
"H-heyyyy," he began, but was cut off.
"What do you think you are trying to do to this girl?!" She glared at him.
"Erm...He didn't do anything." I immediately cut in. This woman cannot be messed with.
"Then why are you crying?" She asked me while keeping her death glare on him.
I bit my lip. I didn't want the guy to end up dead. It wasn't his fault.
"It's nothing." And I glanced up. Big mistake. Her glare burned holes through the wall behind me.
"Really!" I exclamined, as sweat began rolling down my face. The red girl took one hard stare at me before grunting as she turned to further interrogate the pink guy. I took that chance to escape and dashed a few feet away, pretending to leave.
Just then the class bell rang.
Oh no! I just remembered that I had forgotten to ask for directions to class! Now what am I going to do?! I desperately looked around, for someone, anyone to help me.I suddenly remembered about the pink guy and red girl, I turned and watched as they both walked to class, the red girl dragging the pink guy by his collar.
'Should I? The pink haired guy looks about the same age as me so the chances of me going to the wrong class is about 62%. I guess I'll take a leap of faith and follow them.' I thought as I quietly dashed after the pair.
