Nightmare

Rayna pov:

There was a knock at my door.. I look at the corner of my mirror to see behind me.
"It's time.." Ashton, my younger brother, said while he was up against the door frame. Butterflies hit my stomach, I don't know why I have to be nervous about this, it's only my birthday. I was still looking at myself in the mirror. I had a tight black dress on that came an inch above my knees, I wore my red and black heels, my hair was in a pretty but messy bun. Only wore some make up I wasn't really much into wearing a lot of it. "Don't over think it Rayna.. You look beautiful." He told me. He's right I'm over thinking things. "Alright, let's go." I said in a nervous but calm voice.

We went down the stairs in my house to go outside, but all the sudden I was in the middle of the woods at the howling which was in a meadow.. How did I get here so fast? I was alone... Was everyone late? Something was really wrong. But I knew I wasn't alone I had that feeling in my gut a feeling of fear.. It was dark. I caught a whiff of a strong sent.. but I couldn't make it out.. It happened all too fast.. He came at me full on and I turned and just ran. Ran for my life but I wasn't fast enough. He caught up to me all I knew was that I was laying next to a tree and I tried to move but my throat started to hurt. I went to touch it and felt something wet. I look at my hand, my red bloody hand. My hands started to shake, Before I knew it he was standing over me it was too dark to see his face. He lowered to me, his lips hovering over my ear.

"I warned you." He whispered to me with his dark familiar voice.

I woke up and I gasped for air. I couldn't breathe. I felt something wet on my face and noticed it was my tears. Have I been crying in my sleep? Apparently. My god it was the day before my birthday and I had to have this dream. How crazy is that! I got up and went to the bathroom and washed my face then brushed my teeth. I looked in the mirror I had dark shadows under my eyes and then I look at my whole body, I wasn't skinny nor fat I just had curves I don't think anyone would love me. I shook my head at the sight of me. I walked to my walk in closet, so many choices to make. So I put some of my jeans that were ripped on both legs, and put on my bring me the horizon band t shirt. And my red and white converse.

I brushed my hair and fixed it real quick and headed downstairs. I went to the kitchen and automatically smell food. My mother was cooking. "Rayna i made some French toast this morning." She told me.  "With bacon?" I said in a playful tone with a smirk. She walked to me with a plate of French toast.. "And bacon.. Couldn't forget that." She said with high spirits. She already put syrup on there. She knows me well. I ate quickly and went and sat on the couch I set my feet on the table. I closed my eyes having images of the dream. I shook my head if the memory. "Hey sis are you okay?" My brother asks me but he didn't scare me i already knew he was there I literally smelt him coming. I giggled at my joke. He spoke to me in a mind link "Rayna I know there's something wrong." Well I tell him everything. "Ash it was just a nightmare." I looked at him with a faint smile. He nod with understanding knowing I didn't want to talk about it. We usually spoke with a mind link when we didn't want our parents budding in our conversations. "Hey mom we are gonna go out." I yelled to her so she could here me. "Alright sweetie just be back before dark." Strange she never tells me that must be something important.

"Seriously Rayna tell me what is up with you?" My little brother asked. That nightmare has been on my mind all day. I just couldn't shake it off. "Ash it was about tomorrow like no one was there at the party.. And guy was there he killed me in my dream but I know it isn't real cause it just a dream but I don't know I feel like something is coming but I don't know what." I explained. He gave me a warm full but considered look. I looked away and stared at the woods we were in we always hung out here when we had to talk about anything. It was a quite place, almost peaceful. Well was quite. "Hey guys!!!" A voices shouted at us. He annoyed the shit out of me. "Hello Nathan." I said with a furious tone. Nathan is my ex boyfriend, after the incident he did I never once forgave him. He keeps trying to hang out and try to make me understand what he did was a mistake. I closed my eyes, trying to forget. I told him it was over but he never knows when enough is enough.

"Oooo someone is a little feisty today." He said. I look at him with disgust. He had the stupidest grin on his face, my anger flared he knew how to seriously piss me off. I looked away trying to keep my cool. I went to talk but Ash was already ahead of me. "What is it you want this time Nathan?" I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder I automatically tensed up "It's just me sis." My brother reassured me in a mind link. I finally relaxed. "I came here to ask Rayna something. I came here for no trouble." He told us. I stood up and looked at him. He looked so innocent, he looked perfect at that moment. Nathan isn't the most perfect person but he never lied when he wanted to talk about important stuff. "What do you want?" I said firmly. All I want to do is get this over with. Maybe then he will leave me alone. He walked towards me and I took a step back to make distance between us. "I just want to talk to her about something alone." He said without taking his soft grey eyes off mine. Some how I alway got lost in his eyes. "I don't think that's a good idea Nathan. You can say it here." Ash interrupted my thoughts with his almost shouting voice. Nathan took another step forward only leaving a couple feet between us now. I look over to my brother and realize that he has no expression on his face. I finally broke the silence. "Ash I'll take it from here." I told him while putting a hand on his shoulder. He looks at me with shock "your being serious Rayna?" Only I could hear him talk. I knew what I was getting into. "Yes Ash go home I'll meet you there." I looked away and looked at Nathan, he was sitting waiting for ash to leave but now he was walking towards me. I looked for ash and then I saw his gray wolf leave.

I was alone now with Nathan. Typical right. I took two steps back making me farther away from him. "Alright Nate talk." I said. I saw he looked nervous, but for what? He began to talk, "Rayna I know I done wrong.. But."

"Whoaa Nathan hold up I'm not talking about this again I told u what I felt." I got serious now. I had this talk to many times about his "wrong doing" this is becoming old now. "Sweet Jesus let me finish damn it." He yelled. I smirked. Knowing he was impatient now, I waved him to go on. "Like I was saying. I know tomorrow is your birthday and everything." He walked towards me making step back against a tree. "And tomorrow is the howling party so I wanted to know if I could you know go with you." He looked at me with those sorry eyes. "Please Rayna." He said. But I shook my head. I looked away and he took my chin with his fingers and made me look at him. "I'm not going with you." I told him. I saw him getting mad. I saw it in his eyes, I moved his hand away and tired to walk away but he pushed me back against the tree. "What the fuck man!" I yelled at him, he didn't speak. His hands ended at my waist. His hands were warm where at, but he was pissing me off now. "Rayna..." He started. I tried to talk but the words wouldn't come out. His hands went up my waist and ended right under my boobs. I wanted to move but I knew he wouldn't let me go just yet. "Nathan, listening I'm not going with you there's no chance for that. I'm gonna go there solo damn it!." He automatically had hurt written all over his face, but that had to be done. I pushed him off me and shifted to go back home. Then all the sudden I hear a voice in the back ground yelling knowing it was his. "You can't run from this Rayna. I will have...." I didn't hear the rest he was too far away. What will he have? But once I got home I made myself forget that incident ever happened.
