Kagorn knew it was going to happen. He could feel it in his blood. The atmosphere in the air around him had changed. He quickly mounted Dorillax, a creature of his own design that was a hybrid of an eagle, wolf and lion. Dorillax launched off the ground and into the sky, flying at speed towards Istoren City. The city Kagorn knew the dark monster would visit.

Kagorn looked over the parts of Istoren as he flew higher into the sky. Passing over the booming industrial city of Vox, the small city of Skylance in which very few people lived apart from the monarch with his family and lastly flying over the religious crazy city of Penton.

Kagorn thought about the poor people in Istoren City who would have to fight the dark monster. Although Istoren City had the largest army in all of Fardawn it was no match for what awaited them. He knew that he would have to cast an enchantment over the city to try and protect it but also knew that it might kill him.

He had helped forge a lot of Istoren and was not willing to loose it to the forces of darkness. Faster and Faster, Dorillax flapped his wings as they grew closer towards the great city.

Kagorn looked down upon the city, it was engulfed in flames. He could hear the people screaming in agony as their bodies got scorched by the inferno the spread across the city.

Dorillax landed at the gates of the city and Kagorn with his staff in his hand ran into the city as fast as he could. "Heelos Aguatas," roared Kagorn and the sky above began to send water down putting out some of the flames.

Kagorn spotted the creature who was in the main square of the city. He was over 20 foot tall with giant red horns with his body covered in strange markings to which Kagorn did not recognise the language. Kagorn leaped over some rubble and sprinted towards the creature who had his back turned away from him fighting off a few soldiers who were still alive.

Kagorn shot a bolt of magic towards the head of the creature who roared and turned to face him. "You have no business here creature of darkness, go back to where you came," shouted Kagorn.

The creatures eyes turned from a light purple to a fiery red and it opened its mouth spraying fire in the direction of Kagorn who dived out the way just in time. Kagorn quickly stood up and muttered a spell under his breath. His eyes had gone completely white.

All of a sudden Dorillax appeared knocking the creature backwards off its feet landing with a thump on the floor. Kagorn turned to face the creature and shouted another spell. All of a sudden a small force field appeared around where the creature lay. It stood up hitting the sides but it was trapped.

Kagorn jumped onto the back of Dorillax but was approached by a soldier before he left. "Excuse me sir, thank you for saving us but what do we do if it... Ya know escapes and kills us all. It won't be good for any of our health if you get me sir," said the soldier nervously looking across at the creature.

"What is your name boy?" Asked Kagorn looking at the young soldier in front of him.

"My name is Tog sir, Tog Riverwade," replied the soldier

"Well master Riverwade, I am putting you in charge of delivering a message to all the people still alive in the city, leave at once and head towards the city of Skylance at once. Oh and as for the monster he will not escape, only I have the power to break that spell" said Kagorn smiling at Tog.

"Thank you sir, also where are you going sir?" Asked Tog confused as to where the mysterious wizard was going.

"To find out where the darkness started to which this monster originates from young Tog," responded Kagorn, "I believe this creature might be one of a fair few, a creature of dark magic... i wish you good health Tog Riverwade."

Dorillax galloped forwards and then spread his wings flying up into the sky.

"And good health to you sir," shouted Tog into the sky, "I hope you find what you are looking for."
