What If

Sometimes I wish you could read my thoughts, Learn the things I'm too scared to say

Things I have confined within the deepest recessess of my heart

Things I tried for so long to fight but like the tide returns to the shore

They keep finding their way back to my heart

Alas my words are sealed

My will resolute

You will never know the words that i wish you to feel

I already let the moments pass

Hours slip into weeks

The sands of time, lost with age

Would it even matter if I threw my cares to the wind

Told you everything I long for you to hear

Sweet whisperings drowned out with the drone of fear

Or you would turn away

Leaving me to my own

Just remember I wished you well

Hurt was not in my intentions
