Bastille - Bad Blood

______________________________

Dinah woke up to the sound of loud banging and sat up immediately. Across from her stood Lauren attempting to break the bars on the window lose. Normani sat against the wall as she ate a sandwich that consisted of tomato, lettuce, and ham. On the plate in front of the Texan were two other similar sandwiches.

"Morning." Normani mumbled from behind her sandwich.

"What the hell is going on?" Dinah asked with eyebrows knitted and eyes squinted.

"She's been trying to look for a way out since she woke up."

"How long ago was that?"

Normani glanced out the window and scrunched up her face as she was thinking, "About 45minutes ago." She replied after a few moments.

"Lauren, stop." Dinah ordered, "We can't get out like that, it's best if we just wait it out and see what they want." Lauren huffs as her back hits the wall and she slides down where she then sits next to Normani.

"Do you have a plan?" Normani asked as both pair of eyes were now on the Polynesian.

The light haired woman remained on the floor mattress where they slept. Her back resting against the wall as light brown eyes stared at the floor. This was probably the first time in a long time that she couldn't conjure up a plan. This was agonizingly annoying for Dinah considering how she would always figure out a plan for every situation they found themselves in. Finally she sighed and looked up to see two pairs of eyes staring at her in worry.

"I don't know." This answer took both women by surprise as their eyes went wide in shock. "Guys, we're trapped. They have bars on the windows, locked doors, and our weapons in a locked shed. We can't take them all out with just the three of us. Lauren fainted on us twice and we're in no shape to fight them." Dinah said accepting defeat.

The trio remained quiet. Dinah snatched a sandwich and ate it unhappily. Lauren did the same as she filled herself a cup of water.

Normani has never felt so lost in her life. Dinah was out of ideas and Lauren was out beat. Everyone was off their game and no one could do anything about it. They had never been beaten or lost. This was definitely a new feeling for each woman; something like this rarely happened and never in this type of situation. Usually it was having to ration a buck for a month or being able to find untainted water.

The frustration was uncanny for Lauren because she wasn't sure they were safe. For the dark haired woman these girls were everything to her. She was the backbone and therefore felt as though she had to protect them.

Dinah felt useless to the group. She was always the one to save their asses when it came to trouble or when they were cornered with situations. This situation they were in was stressful for Dinah because she felt as though the girls were looking to her for an answer, but she couldn't find one.

The feeling of uselessness was affecting each girl. Normani was normally the one out of the group who was fast on her feet and gathered the most things for each girl to survive. She felt as though she was put at a halt and restrained from helping her friends.

Each one felt out of their norm that they were use to. They felt as though they were letting each other down. There was no escape and nothing to do but wait. After each girl ate and Lauren finished the rest of the water, they were left with the unbearable sense of boredom. Lauren paced in the room as Dinah tried to fall back to sleep and Normani trying to balance the empty plate on her finger.
