Chapter Two

Cara's POV
Wow! Cat can sing but only got two yes's, Simon being Simon he disagreed with her approval. She was smiling a lot, she must be the bubbly perky type.

I watch her walk back down the stairs into the backstage and go straight to her mom wrapping her arms around her as she cried. Her father was there but he was glued to his phone taking calls and all, she looked at me and I smiled as she mouthed good luck to me.

"Cara Smith" the overcome yelled making me kinda jump in nervousness. I grabbed my mike and pushed in my ear piece as someone whispered behind me "good luck" I look over my shoulder while the security guard leads me up the stairs. It was that girl....Bait or Saith or whatever her name was, sorry I suck at names. I smile before running up to center stage  where a lot of applauding begins.

Continue smiling with a wave as well as pulling the microphone to my mouth, "hey" laughing in a way.

They smile, "Hello Cara. How are you feeling?" Demi asked.

"I'm great. Excited to be here!"

"Good. Tell us a little bit about yourself" Simon commands in a humble tone.

Simply nodding, "Well I'm from New York and I'm 16 and I've always been told I have a great voice so that's why I'm here tonight" all the smiling was hurting my cheeks.

"Oh that's nice. What will you be singing for us tonight then?" Demi smiled, I think she really likes me.

"Um, I'll be singing Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift " ugh, can this be over? Yes! My heart was racing this whole entire time....if you were wondering

"Okay, great. Let's get srarted then shall we?" I nod as the lights lower. Pray I can do this, one spotlight shines on me as it's time to begin...I come out with the first lyrics:

He said "Let's get out of this town, Drive out of the city, away from the crowds."    I thought heaven can't help me now nothing last forever, but this is gonna take me down.....

Faith's POV
I watched as Cara finish and might I say, she was fantastic! She actually got all thre yeses from the judges and now she really in the game. She comes backstage very happy as she goes to hug her family, I faintly smile at everyone backstage because I know I'm next...

Ryan Seacrest comes out again "Wow, what a show so far hu? Now clap your hands together for Faith Hills...." that's me! They better not be sitting there to ask me tons of questions. I want tem to hear my singing voice not my regular voice.

Walking up on stage after applying the earpiece to my ear I and turning on the mike, I smile in front of the judges.

"Hello Faith"

"Hi! I'm Faith, I'm 18 and I'm from Texas. I use to work at a bakery, okay! Let's start" I quickly say. They nod in agreement....

"Wow! You don't waist time with your life. Do you?" Simon comments.

"No sir. Oh yeah and I'll be singing The Heart Wants What It Wants by Selena Gomez " I respond.

"Okay. Let's start" that's all before it's time. I stand back a little before starting:

You got me sippin' on somethin', I can't compare to nothin'.....

Cat's POV
Everyone was great tonight, especially that one guy....Shawn Mendes? Well anyway, man that boy can sing!

I cheered for everyone as they got back off-stage. Now it's time for the judges to bring everyone out....

All contestants walk to the stage, there was a spolight shining on each and everyone of us. We held hands with our heads kinda down in hope that we don't hear anything bad but I had my head up high just smiling like the bubbly person I am...

Simon smiled, "Hello contestants"

We all say hello back.

"Ok so let's start with.....Rebekah. Rebekah, Rebekah, Rebekah.... you were great but not great enough. I'm sorry, you didn't make it" I seen Rebekah go crying off the stage. Man....harsh much?

"Next....Stefan. You made it!! Your voice was outstanding, you have an amazing talent" Demi cooed.

"Thank you!" Stefan smiled walking backstage. It was only about 18 people left....

After about eight rejections and seven yeses! It was finally almost my turn.

"Shawn, YOU WERE AMAZING! You were shy at first but after awhile you let loose, and that's what talent we wanna see. Congrats" Shawn smiled letting go of my hand an walking back stage.

Oh boy! "Catherine" I step forward.

"...You were amazing and to us you sound a lot Miss Grande herself. We like that you can hit those high notes and we wanna expand that so yes you made it. Congratulations!" I smile before quickly hugging the judges unexpectedly. They laugh before I walk off the stage, last two.

Cara's POV

"Ok girls, here's the thing....you both were outstanding and we couldn't make the decision to let you both go so we decided that we'd put you in a group...Cat come back out here" she races back onstage before grabbing my hand. We listen to Simon again, are we really becoming a group?

"Wait. Really?" Faith questions.

Demi nods, "You guys have amazing talent but I don't think it's great enough to be solo artist so we are making y'all into a girl band". Woah. My jaw drops as I smile...

"Thank you" we are all lead down the stage to the back. Wow! A band? This is gonna be fun, I know we can make it to the finals. What should we call our group? Will we get along? What will happen after we leave the X-Factor?
