Ever since I was young, I always have a passion in writing stories, novels, poems and sonnets yet I have no guts to let others see my literary compositions. However, when I saw Karla Aguas’ (Myx Vj and girlfriend of Nico Salva of Ateneo Blue Eagles) blog and her posted fictional stories, I decided to post my little piece of work. I hope you guys will like my story of Bryce, Anika and Jace’s love triangle. I have still no idea of what title suits this story since I just started writing it (and I'm a newbie here in Wattpad community!) so I hope you could help me out. Your comments about the title and story will be much appreciated. :)
1. Big Day!
I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm clock rings. I’m just so excited to take a shower and wear my newly bought corporate attire—black bandage skirt, sheer pink blouse and blazer, matching my accessories and a pair of pump shoes. I was like a grade school student who can’t wait for the opening of the school year because she’s going to wear her new school shoes and school bag. After all, it’s my first day at work, and first impression lasts.
My stomach was filled with excitement and nervousness as I enter the 80-storey building where I will be working. The place was so elegant with all the delicately designed glass wall and high ceilings. Boy, will I be working with one of the elite company in the city. This is huge!
As the elevator door open, the people exiting greeted me with a warm smile. I felt relieved. The people working here seem very nice albeit the place looks arrogant and extravagant. I pushed on the elevator button heading 16th floor. I will be meeting my new officemates and I’m so eager to be friends with them.
“Hey there, you excited on your first day at work?” Bryce greeted me with a smile and a quick kiss on the cheek as I reached the reception table. Turns out, he’s been waiting for me to arrive so that he could introduce me to his people. Bryce’s family owns the company where I was employed as a Marketing Manager. He’s my classmate back when I was taking Master’s degree in Marketing and he’s my boyfriend for about half a year now. I told him not to introduce me as his girlfriend and as much as possible keep it as a secret though. I want to have a low profile and I want him to treat me as one of his regular employee as well. He wore black suit and tie and was very good-looking in it. Well, Bryce has always been good-looking.
“Yeah, but I’m quite nervous.” I replied and he smiled and grabbed my hands as if he’s wishing me good luck.
My first day at work went well. He introduced me to his staffs and they were all welcoming. I have even made new friends: two girls who are at my age, twenty three-ish, a very handsome gay in his late twenties, and a guy who just graduated recently.
2. The Boss.
My first two weeks at work was great. I am starting to feel at ease with my new surroundings. Like it was my second home. I have even made more comrades than what I’d expected. And they were all commending me for my well-done jobs. For submitting paper works on time or before the scheduled time and for attending meetings without being late. It’s an accomplishment for myself too since I was always late back in college. Haha!
Knock. Knock. Bryce knocked on my office cubicle. I swear he looks like a god. With his man-bangs and close set eyes that is so captivating. No wonder I fell in love with this guy.
“Are you busy? Can I borrow you for a sec? I haven’t introduced you to the HR yet.” The Human Resource head has been out of the country for a meeting conference ever since my first day at work started. I wonder how he looked like. Bryce said he’s about our age. Too young to be a boss, I thought. He also said he’s looking forward to introducing me to this guy since he’s his cousin and best friend. I stand up and arranged myself, preparing to meet one of the boss.
