"Hey Selena" she look up to find her step brother Jess standing by the door in a leaning matter. His hands in his pocket as she smiled in his direction.

"Oh, hey Jess. Um, I thought you were with Serena?" She asked a bit concentrated as she finished the last bit of the cake by adding the remaining of Frosting. She sticked her tongue out and closed one eye while she sprinkled pecans on top to finish the last bit of the cake.

"What are you making there?" Jess asked coming closer to the counter as he ran his finger on the icing and started to lick it. Selena looked up at him scrunching her nose in disgust

"Finishing up this cake" Selena muttered as she picked it up and placed it behind her. She turned back to jess who elbows are on the counter just staring at her.

"What?" She asked grabbing a cloth as she wiped the counter down while picking up the dirty dishes.

"Are you ever going to have a life?" Jess asked making selena gasp. She does have a life and half of that life is taking care of her step brother and sisters and mom.

"I do have a life, when I'm not taking care of you guys. I go out" She answers

"When? Last time?" He asked making her laugh

"Uh, today. I bumped into Harry Styles" She answered

"Oh, yeah? Did you get his number?" Selena eyes widen and her cheeks turned a scarlet red

"No. We're not even friends" She answered already feeling like she shouldn't have brought up harry.

"Really? He didn't waste time dropping off his number" he answered as he motions towards the window causing Selena to whip her hair in his direction. Her jaw dropped as she witness Harrys bouncy curls from the window.

"I-uh-shut up" Selena argued. The door bell rings and jess smirks as she walks towards the door to answer it. Jess is standing behind her as she answers and Harry dimple indented deep once he saw me

"Hey Cinderella" he greeted her. She smiled

"Hi Harry"

"Question? Why you call her Cinderella?" Jess asked out of the blue making selena turn red. She really wanted to hide in a shoe.

"It's her nickname right Lovely?" Selena raised an eyebrow

"Lovely?" Jess smirked as he stared at Selena who was turning red by the minute "beautiful nicknames"

"Jess...don't you have...homework?" Selena said turning around to give him a glare but that only erupt in laughter making selena frown.

"Sel, glares don't work on you. Your to kind" jess laughed as he raised his hands in surrender "but I'll leave"

The laughter soon faded once jess was nowhere in sight. The tension between them soon died and then there was just silence. Be kind the words kept replaying in her head. Harry watched her closely admiring every detail until he coughed breaking up the silence between them.

"I never noticed you had a bruised eye?" Harry smile turned into a frown as she slightly turned away.

"Yeah" She said turning around to face him "I'm clumsy"
