Chapter 1

　"Shaniqua move away from me! go and sit down in the front of the bus" a familiar voice growled. I heard this coming from the upper deck as I just swiped my oyster and was ascending up the stairs.

"But Elijah ...." said an obviously upset little girl, and then it clicked. I knew who it was. Before she could have said anything else he cut her off rudely and told his sister "go or I'll tell mum that you've been a pain in the butt all day and I'll make you get grounded". I finally got up to the upper deck and saw Elijah , one of the boys from Whipsnade School For Delinquents, who was also best friends with the Jayden Carter and also someone-I-speak to-on-a-regular-basis-but-not-quite-my-friend-yet , towering over, ( well he's not that tall, but tall enough to look intimidating to little girls) to his four year old sister Shaniqua .

There were a few people on the upper deck too, not including Elijah and his sis, there were three people, two of which were giving Elijah very dirty looks ,I don't know how to describe it but by what it seems like if looks could kill, Elijah would have been long gone.

The other person had headphones on and he looked like he was in that faze between partially being aware of your surroundings, and dozing off, so I couldn't really blame him for not staring daggers at Elijah.

I personally had no idea what happened between the Elijah and his sis but I was about to find out.

Shaniqua obeyed her brother and was now sitting in the front ,gazing outside of the window. I went and sat down two spaces to the right of Elijah who was sitting by the window in the far left of the bus, Aalliyah sat in between me and Elijah , Eda sat on the other side of me.

"So what's up with you and your sis " I ask while taking out my strawberry flavoured Yahzoo, from my bag, Eda chipped in "Yeah! Eli why do you treat her so bad, you know you shouldn't treat her like that."

"She's annoying that's why, and I said stop calling me that, you egg head" Elijah said.

"Oh so I'm an egg head now, just shut up you pigeon."

I can tell Eda was getting angry now as she turned slightly red due to her short temper and I'm sure Aalliyah sensed this too as she shouted over their arguing " SHUT UP YOUR MOUTH" in the best African accent she could possibly pull off.

By now every single head turned to look at us even the guy who was half asleep

Everyone at the back froze in their spot until a couple minutes later when everything got back to normal, but an awkward, uncomfortable silence hung in the air between us. That was until Aalliyah suddenly erupted with laughter and so we all joined in.

　

While I was laughing ,I looked to the front to see that Shaniqua was speaking with an old polite looking lady, so I left her to it.

When I turned back to our "group" the laughter had died down. I looked towards Aaliyah's directon and I just stared at how cute Aalliyah and Elijah looked together.

They were sharing Aaliyah's earphones and listening to music from her phone.I looked over at Eda and saw too that she mirrored the exact same expression as me, she caught my gaze and nodded her head at me with a mischievous smirk, I knew what she was up to and I wanted to play along too. Eda questioned Elijah saying "Is that how you treat all children" referring back to the little scene he had with his sister earlier on . He simply said " I hate children, never liked them, never will."

　

Now was my turn to smirk , both Lea and Elijah noticed as they gave me a questioning look, I turned to face Aaliyah and said "There goes your plans of him being the father of your child ,babes" they stared at me like I had just grown a second head , I turned away taking a sip of my Yazoo whilst trying to keep a serious face .

　

I couldn't take their piercing looks anymore and said something I knew they'd react to, so they'd stop staring "Guys I know my face is beautiful and easy on the eye to stare at all day, but could you please stop staring I can't drink when people stare" this got her fuming as first of all she hates it when I tease her about liking Elijah , vice versa, she gets worked up when I call her nick names especially "babes" and also she doesn't like it when the more egotistic side of me comes out to play.

Aaliyah turned to a still confused Elijah and said "Don't worry I am not pregnant with your child"

Then he cheekily said "So you are pregnant then? with someone else's child? I knew that I saw a baby bump starting to form" and with that she reached her ticking point, you could Practically see steam coming out of her ears . I knew she was totally offended as she sees herself as someone that is "curvy in all the right places" and has the "best looking body"

　

Suddenly she leaped onto him and said "Look I'll clear things up for you, since you're too thick to understand, I AM NOT PREGNANT WITH YOUR CHILD, NOR ANYONE ELSES CHILD because I am a virgin." starting off quiet but getting louder by each word.

After her sudden outburst Aaliyah left shortly after that with Eda following to see if she was ok and her house was 3minutes away anyway, however I stayed on because, one I knew she'd be safe with Eda, two I live further away than both of them my house is like an hour away , three I wanted to find out more about Elijah Williams.

I asked him a few questions but he gave me nothing all he told me was that earlier today he had picked up his little sister from ballet practise ,he totally despised her for some unknown reason but I get where he's coming from because I too have a little sister and let's just say we haven't got the best of relationships.

　

I said my goodbyes to Elijah getting up to leave when I realised it was my stop. I rushed down just in time to get through the doors. As soon as I barely hit the ground the doors snapped together quickly, leaving me to think that my hands nearly got chopped off.

It was now 7pm ,one and a half hours ago I would have been shopping with my friends well more like Aaliyah because while we were actually buying clothing and footwear, Eda wandered of into an old charity shop or a book store, I wanted to see what she was up to so I went inside and saw that she was buying vinyls .

The sound of another pair of foot steps that I knew wasn't mine pulled me back to reality and out of my thoughts .
