I stared at the wall in boredom, not having a anything to do. As an eight year old, there aren't many opportunities to play in a castle. I glared at my mother, who was trying to teach me "lady-like" manners.

"Kirstin La' Romaire! Pay attention when someone is talking to you!" My mother said, screeching into my ear.

"Yes mother," I replied," I will pay attention," as she turned her back on me, I stuck out my tongue, and put a finger under my eye.

"Kirstin, I swear if you are making a face at your own moth-"

"Helena! Kirstin! My two favorite ladies in the world!" A jolly voice boomed out behind me. A smile quickly grew on my face as I ran to the tall man at the doorway.

"Daddy!" I shouted, bouncing on the balls of my feet.

"Hello my little kit kat!" He responded with a cheeky smile on his face as the sun from the large arched windows gave his face even more happiness.

"Kirstin! Stop behaving that way!" My mother scolded, a deep frown settled on her face.

"Oh Helena, it's alright she is only 8 years old," my mother looked away, clearly embarrassed. My father crouched down to my level, and cupped his hand around my ear.

"Are you ready for practice today squirt?" He whispered, so my mother couldn't hear.

"Who wouldn't be?!" I whispered back to him. He just grinned, and stood up to his original 6'5 height.

"Helena, kit kat and I are going to have some father daughter talk okay?" He started, coughing a little. My mother just sighed,

"Fine, but if she causes trouble, she won't be allowed out again," I just snickered in my head about how false that threat sounded. My father just nodded, and we began our trek through the hallways. It was silent as we approached my quarters, and I darted in to my room. I shut the door behind me, and sprinted to my gigantic closet. I pushed the doors open and fought through the thick of puffy dresses and grabbed a pair of trousers and a blouse that were folded in the very back. I tore off my dress, and put on the trousers. As I pulled the blouse over my head, I felt my long golden brown hair fall down out of its prison on top of my head. I grabbed a sash for my hair and tied my hair into a low ponytail. My bright blue blue eyes twinkled in excitement as I threw the door open.

"Come on dad! Let's go!" I grabbed my fathers arm and pulled him to our private training ground. We both grabbed the little wooden swords that were leaning against a tree.

"Ok kit kat! Come at me!" my father said, beckoning me to fight him. I took one step, and I knew he couldn't see me.

"Wait wh-what?!" My father questioned, shocked that he couldn't see me. Of course, I was running to fast for his eyes to catch my speed. I immediately went behind him to attack, but he anticipated it and parried my blow. This went on for a few more minutes, until I had my "blade" at his throat. He sighed and a smile passed onto his face.

"YES! I beat you dad! Finally!" I screeched at the top of my lungs. My father chuckled and stared at me with his sea green eyes. All of a sudden, a clapping sound rang out through the whole area, and I turned and saw a boy around my age clapping in a tree.

"That was impressive," he stated, motioning to me,"Who knew a girl could fight like that?" I felt all the curiosity go away in a second. I removed my "blade" from my fathers throat and glared at him.

"And who are you?" I questioned, still unsure about the kid in front of me.

"Me? Well, my name is Matthias,"

Hi guys! So I have decided to write a new story, and this one was inspired by a song by Joey Graceffa which is Don't Wait and the music video.... I cried. Well anyway, I hope you enjoyed the first chapter, because trust me. It gets better.
