End of Recap~

9 Years Later...

I looked out of the window in boredom, since it has been the start of my daily routine since that happened. My cold, blue eyes landed on a hummingbird fluttering around in the courtyard.

' If only...' I thought to myself, wishing to be free from this terrible place that my mother calls home. Speaking of, my mother bursts through the doors of my bedroom, with a fierce glare.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" my mother screamed like a banshee. "Today you meet ANOTHER suitor, so you CANNOT be late." I rolled my eyes and glared. Ever since my father died 8 years ago, my mother has brought several suitors to our castle, but they all want me for many reasons.

And none of them are love.

"Okay mother I'm coming. Please do leave my room though. " My mother only glared, and stormed out into the long hallway. I sighed and got ready for the gruesome day to begin.

A Few Hours Later...

I stormed down the hallway to my room, fuming at what had just happened a few minutes ago.

A Few Minutes Ago...

" Kirstin! Here is the young man from Analies, Prince Ryner!" My mother said cheerfully, hoping to finally marry me off.

"Hello Princess Kirstin, it's a pleasure to meet you," Prince Ryner announced, taking my the back of my hand and kissing it.

'Oh great, a flirty gentleman.' I gave him a fake smile, and pulled my hand away. He looked shocked for a second, but then brushed it off as playing hard to get. My mother then began to chat with the flirtatious man, but I let my thoughts wonder.

And then they landed on him. That strange boy I met in the forest 9 years ago.

'I wonder where he is right now... Matthias.' All of a sudden, my mother began nodding her head at something.

    That was never good.

"So, the wedding will begin in three months, agreed?" My mother asked Ryner.

"W-wait WHAT?" I exclaimed, standing abruptly from my chair. "I'm not getting married to this...Flirt!" I announced to my mother. My mother turned beet red with anger and slapped me as hard as she could.

"NO! You're going to marry him." My mother demanded. I then proceeded to run to a place my mother could never find me.

Present Time...

I slouched on the tree and began to cry. The training area my father and I had was the only place I had to myself. It was a fairly large area, covered by beautiful, giant oak trees, with a peaceful stream running down the sides. The grass was short, having been battled on a number of times. I felt my golden brown hair fall from the tight bun it was trapped in, but I didn't care. I didn't even care about the rip that was in the side of my dark purple dress. I just wanted to be held in fathers embrace. I wanted someone to tell me 'It's okay to cry ' or at least ' I'm so proud of you.' but of course I never did.
