RE World Poem

The simple wonder of the Northern Lights,

People respecting the human rights,

Watching the delicate bee humming bird,

Hearing the beauty of the spoken word,

Listening to the human voice sing,

Waiting to see the gorgeous spring,

Is this my escape?

The blowing hurrincanes wreaking havoc,

People pouring oil in the babbling brook,

Watching people poach and kill

Hearing the screams of sirens shrill,

Listening to the fighting game,

The world never returning to be the same,

Was this my escape?

What has happened to the life that is present,

People still living as peasants,

Watching life go by,

Hearing people cry,

Listening for the guns to stop,

Waiting for the bombs to drop,

What happened to my escape?

The life as we knew it is almost gone,

People erasing the world that's been drawn,

Waiting for the wars to go,

The final death flight travelled by the crow,

Listening to the lack of voice,

Waiting for people to rejoice,

Is this my escape?

The simple wonder of scenic ice caves,

People still becoming slaves,

Watching the delicate monarch butterfly,

Hearing people weep and cry,

Listening the the song birds tune,

Waiting and watching the deep lagoon,

Everything holds in perfect balance,

This is my escape.
