He stood there looking… looking so god-like. He had beautiful emerald eyes that pierced you like an arrow through the heart. His tall slim muscular body beautifully sculpted through a dark grey long sleeved shirt and faded blue jeans. He was every girls fantasy brought to life. There was this edge of danger, alertness, that he was a protective keep to himself kind of guy and yet there felt like an urge to comfort and care for him. It made me just want to melt into him like a big bar of chocolate.

“ Are you finished checking me out now?” Oh god, his voice was like music to my ears. I could listen to it forever.. All I could do was stare at him in all his glory and the when the realization of his words hit me I turned bright red…

“S-sorry… I didn’t mean t-to run into you. If I hurt you I honestly didn’t mean to. God I feel like an idiot. Who runs through the woods and not watches where they’re going! Gosh Carson quit acting so unrational.” And then he laughed. Oh his laugh. Like nothing I have ever heard before. More, yes I wanted to hear it more. I needed to hear it more. Im babbling. I bet he thinks im crazy. “ Whats so funny?”

“It’s nothing. Trust me, you didn’t hurt me. You didn’t even come close to.” He laughed again. “So why were you running in the first place?”

“Um…. ( I turn an even brighter red) I felt like something was watching me and trying to get closer to me and get me. I know sounds really chicken-ish and girly. Ha! The feeling is gone I feel safe now. Plus my house isn’t that far away.” His gaze turned icy as he scoped the area.

“ Maybe you should avoid the woods for now on.”

“ I take this route to school so I really cant. Its okay. I’ll be fine.” I stand up and dust myself off. “So what are you doing out here anyways. You look like you’d be in school. Are you ditching?” He looked at me straight in the eyes, the iciness that was there seem to soften a little and made my heart skip a beat. He smiled a little.

“Yeah, I’m ditching. I’m new here so I decided to explore some.”

“Well I could show you around. I’ve been here all my life. I know this place like the back of my hand. I mean that’s only if you’d want me to.” I looked down blushing slightly.

“Are you sure you don’t want to head back to school. I’m sure your lunch is about over.” He looked at me amused.

“Uh… Not really. I decided to ditch too. Oh but first I need to change my shirt.” He laughed again. I felt like I was floating.

“Well lets go then, Carson.” He gave me side glance that about melted me in place.

            “Y-yeah.”

We got to my house and he waited outside. I ran up and grabbed a clean shirt out my closet and put it on real quick and ran down stairs and tripped right when I got onto the porch. I held my  hands out to break the fall and closed my eyes. Strong warm arms wrapped around me. A powerful burst of energy hit me. It was like nothing I have ever felt before. It scared me and yet I wrapped myself in the feeling. The whole world disappeared. I felt like I was where I belonged. I looked up and saw “him” holding me. “Him” I still didn’t know his name. He looked just as shocked as I did. Then slowly everything started fading back in view.  We stood there silently for a few minutes just staring at each other. I could feel his emerald eyes piercing me with utter shock and surprise and yet there was a feeling of knowing, rememberance, longing. His arms let go of me and he turned his head. I snapped back into what was going on.

“What happened? What did you do? Are you some kind of witch or something?” He asked. He was feeling defensive now. As if he had been violated or invaded.

“A witch? For real? ( I laughed) Witches aren’t real. Honestly I don’t know what happened. It felt so other worldly. So wonderfully majestic. It kind of startled me at first, but then I felt at home.” I blushed. “ I still don’t even know your name by the way.”

“Ash. And I have to go.” And with that he took off without another word. I stood there in utter disbelief and shock. Yet at the same time I was happy and thrilled. Ash. I loved it. His name brought a smile to my face. Hopefully (fingers crossed) I’d get to meet him again.
