Chapter 3

On Talia's first day of school, she showered in a lovely hot bath and wore the school clothes her aunt had brought for her, (which was the colour black with three red ribbons sewn onto its left shoulder with a silver, metal star connected to the three red ribbons on her blazer and on her bottoms it was a plain black with a key ring that has a heart attached to the end of the key ring, the key ring was attached to the belt hook, her blouse was a navy blue), then she ate a bit of toast and had two spoonful's of cornflakes and was of with Sasha to school, once they had got there, Sasha showed her around the school which she had been going to for eight months. (This school was SABS). As they finished their tour, Talia left the library and went to the head teacher when she heard a bang. She looked across the hallway to see what had happened when she saw a lady walking in. It was her mother. At first Talia didn't recognise her but when the lady spoke Talia knew who it was.
The lady smiled such a big smile it looked like her cheeks were hurting. Talia started to cry but her mother looked confused. She said in a soft voice "I am your head teacher Annabelle Roses and your mother who put kindness into the world but is disguised as a lovely head teacher. So my dear Talia you are someone more amazing than you think you are and cruel Grace and Robert have kept you imprisoned in a room not fit for you. That is why I have come to collect you after school and you Talia can live with me and master your wonderful powers and you can take one of your cousins and live in the place you deserve to live in so come with me and I'll phone your aunty and uncle so you can live with me. O.K."
"O.K mum or shall I say head teacher." Talia said in a confident voice. "But mum why did you leave me? I mean all the other mothers are with their children. So why not you?"
"Well I had to. I did it because it would have put you in danger especially if they saw me, the person who changed their lives forever. And it would be too much of a risk and even if I did I would be putting danger on Mars which isn't supposed to happen yet. So you don't worry about a thing because I have got it all covered and since I'm your head teacher I can monitor you and see your skills. But if you're really concerned then after school we'll run it through together O.K"
"O.K."
"So you won't worry too much."
"I won't mum and anyway it is my first day of school."
Talia had noticed that her mother looked quiet shaky and didn't look natural but just let it go. As Talia left to go with Sasha to their history lesson Sasha giggled a bit and made Talia giggle. Once Talia and Sasha had got to their history class they saw everyone in a seat next to someone who was their friend. So Talia and Sasha sat next to one another. A lady with thin rectangular shaped glasses walked in with a yellow flower dress on and yellow leggings to match with bright pink lipstick on with a big smile on her face. She introduced herself with a nice welcome to Talia and said her name (which was Mrs Humbly) while everyone looked shocked because they had never seen Mrs Humbly so nice at all in their life, even in the supermars (supermarket) when she was with her kind hearted daughter Isabella.
Once Mrs Humbly started teaching her wonderful, kind voice danced around the room like birds singing a song. Mrs Humbly said in a soft voice "Now everyone pick a partner please because we are going to do a partnered activity. Now does everyone have a partner?"
"No"
"Well then get into one. Does everyone have a partner now?"
"Yes!"
"Good. Now let's get onto the activity shall we. In your pairs you must come up with a dance to do with the Victorian times. If you don't complete it in the five minutes you have you and your partner will be staying in for the whole lunchtime and will not get to go on a trip for the rest of this month.... Well that is not included to Talia of course since she is new. Talia if you mess up don't worry O.K just do your best."
"O.K I will Mrs Humbly." Talia said in a shy voice. Talia's partner was Suzy, a girl with long blonde hair and red freckles all over her skin. Her skin was as white snow when it first falls onto the ground. She had big round glasses and was wearing a big smile on her face. She was the kind of girl who was the loner girl and would start putting a big smile on her face if she was nervous and she was nervous now. Once Mrs Humbly said they could start Talia started to watch how Sasha and her partner did amazing moves so Talia started doing moves she had learnt when she would watch some telly in Sasha's room. So as Talia taught some of the moves to Suzy Talia had remembered her mum tell her she had powers. Once the five minutes was over the children were called to present their dance. When Sasha and her partner presented it, it looked amazing. There were twists and twirls and all sorts of stuff in the dance. Last it was Talia and Suzy. Talia started off with a twirl then Suzy did a twirl. Five minutes later they had finished their dance with the class in shock.
