Author's Note/Disclaimer: I do not own the Harry Potter series. Also, this was a one-shot I wrote in middle school (I'm now in college) and I would like to know what you think. I am in the process of uploading the sort of prequel to my one shot as well as the concluding piece to this.

October 31st, 1981

I was the first to tell her what she was. A witch, and a powerful one at that. At first, I didn't believe it when I saw her body. I didn't want to believe it. Motionless, powerless, sprawled on the nursery floor.

I crumpled, leaning against the wall, shaking my head. My breaths rapidly increasing, the hysteria building inside of me.

I didn't want to believe what I saw in front of me. I wanted to believe that she had simply been stunned. But I knew better as I looked at her lifeless, pale body.

I kneeled down beside her and scooped her up into my arms, clinging to her for dear life as hot tears streamed down my face.

I slowly rocked her as if rocking her to sleep, although I already knew that instead of Morpheus keeping her peacefully in slumber, it was Hades that had ensnared her in his fortress of darkness.

"Lily," I cried, wishing her to respond in her sweet as honey voice. All I wanted was to hear her voice one more time, and to see her beautiful emerald eyes that had entranced me the moment I saw them.

"Momma," a tiny voice said distantly. I ignored it, not wanting to step away from my forever silent angel.

"Momma," the voice cried out more urgently, want in its voice. Reluctantly, I turned around. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw.

Staring right back at me with those beautiful emerald eyes, with the face I had hated since his first year of Hogwarts, was her son. I saw blood trickling down the side of his face from a cut on his forehead.

"Harry," I said, testing his name out, pursing my lips and sucking my teeth in. The name tore through me, as all I could think of was that this was her son. Her son that she had with the man that had been the bane of my existence.

The child, that looked unfortunately like his father but with his mother's eyes, looked at me with curious eyes. Slowly, I rose and peered at him from his bassinet.

Cautiously, I picked him up. Shakily raising a hand, I wiped his bloody forehead off with my black sleeve. I frowned, as I saw the lightening bolt shaped scar.

As I looked at this child, a strong feeling of hatred rushed through me. Thoughts of murder crossed my mind as I realized that this child was the reason my sweet Lily had been ripped from this world.

However, I couldn't. Lily would never forgive me if I did. Nor would she forgive me to leave him here to rot. Setting him down, I placed a shield around him. With one last longing look at my beautiful Lily, I dissapprated away.

Away from my Lily, the only one I had and would always love. Forever would she be on my mind. Always.
