The Beginning of a New Year

Serena's P.O.V

beep, beep, beep

"Ugh, what time is it?!" I yelled softly as I was light seeping and saw my little Fennekin wagging her tail, waiting for me to get up and play with her

"Good morning! Fennekin! How did you sleep last night?"

Fennekin nodded. She seemed to sleep well last night. As I continue to walk down the stairs, I smelled something, delicious, it was the cooking of my mom.

"Serena! Get down here! Breakfast is ready, plus, you don't wanna be late in the first day of school!" My mom told me as I was going down

"So, are you gonna see cute boys this year?" My mom smirked while I was eating.

"MOM!" I shouted while there was food in my mouth as my cheeks started to turn pink

"What? I was just asking" She laughed in the table and smiled.

I ignored her and went outside to go to school.

"Have fun! And focus more on your studies" She waved goodbye as I start to disappear from the streets.

"Man, why did it have to be so, wierd this year. I mean she embarrased me in front of freaking..... Ash.... last year but I still have feelings for him though..."

As I continue to think about what happened, I bumped into someone, she wore a pink dress, gold hairclips, a leather hat and a pink backpack on her back.

"Careful, you jst hit me!" She exclaimed, pointing out my face.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, My name is Dawn Berlitz, I live here next to Iris's house but you'll meet her soon, also, I study in Kalos High and I'm a 8th grader this year, and you are? Oh and by the way, sorry for acting selfish there, you're kinda like me when I bumped into Iris once" Dawn apologized.

I was confused, her emotions were so, wierd, WHY IS EVERYONE ACTING SO WIERD?!

"Um, hello, I guess... My name is Serena Yvonne, I live just about 2 blocks away but y'know what I mean...." I answered her question as we are walking down the streets and found our school.

"Here we are! Kalos High!" Dawn fist pumped in the air and accidentally hit me right in the face.

"Ow!" I shouted as many people saw me get hurt.. They keep saying

"Is she okay?"

"Jeez, thats gotta hurt!"

"Red, red, red all over her!"

"So, HURTFUL!"

Dawn was embarrased and apologized to me and we went into our classroom.

"So, you wanna hang out with us later?" Dawn asked me while we find a seat, knowing that I should go so I can meet May, Iris, Misty, Drew, Kenny, Gary and Dawn of course.

"Sure, lunch maybe? Or Physical Ed? I don't know everytime you know, I'm new here" I insisted. Then our adviser came in and told us there were two, I mean TWO! But if I'm there, who's the second one?!

"Okay, class, we have 2 new students today, Here's Ash Ketchum and Serena Yvonne!" My adviser said as I saw Ash walking in the room and I blushed a little, I wasn't expecting that he will go here....

"Hi! Serena! It's been a long time" Said Ash with a big, wide grin "So, what happened, exactly, why are you blushing?"

Man, he is so oblivious, but anywho, we continued our class and discussed Science for 40 or 50 minutes
