"You brat! You know you are not allowed to touch something that's not yours!" A woman scolded as she slapped a young girl, 7 years of age, twice in the face.
"Gomen! Gomenasai!" The girl whimpered and flinched as she was slapped again. Fresh tears fell from her slap-stained cheek, glossing her purple eyes.
"You are so useless! You are not my real daughter anyway! I wish I didn't picked you up in the streets!" The woman screamed and went downstairs, leaving the girl crumpled in the floor, crying.
The girl sat up slowly and sniffed. Ever since she was so young, her mother would hurt and abuse her, even though she didn't do anything.
She tried to be the best child the woman could ever had, but she realized that she didn't need love. Hatred, anger and confusion welled up inside her.
"Cruel...." she muttered. "All of you are cruel....CRUEL!" She screamed and threw a vase at the window.
The mother went quickly upstairs with a stick on hand. "WHAT DID YOU DO NOW?!" The mother screamed and approached her, beating her up.
The girl screamed in pain as the woman beat her several times, while cussing. Tears streamed down from her cheeks and blood rushed through her veins, went out from her wounds.
Then all of a sudden, sirens was heard from outside the house. She stopped and quickly went outside, leaving the girl.
The girl coughed up blood and tried to stand up. Her back aches so much, as if a thousand needles was pierced through her skin. Her blood runs through her skin, making her feel cold outside.
"What? What girl, screaming? There is no girl here!" She heard the woman exclaimed downstairs.
"We have to make sure ma'am, we don't allow child abuse in this city." A man said as she heard footsteps approaching upstairs.
The girl weakly raised her head and saw an officer. "A child!" He exclaimed, quickly approached the girl and picked her up.
The girl turned to see the woman handcuffed and shoved inside the car. The police wrapped his jacket around her and carried her.
"Let's just bring you to the orphanage...you are safe there..." The police muttered.
"W...what's that...?" The girl croaked, trying to regain her voice after her screaming while her mother beat the shit out of her.
"You will see..." he said. The girl just nodded and closed her eyes, falling asleep.

"Here we are....." the police officer said, carried her and brought her inside a building.
The girl couldn't understand much they are saying, since they are all in English. She is some kind of Japanese, for sorts. The only words she can understand are girl, take, leave and stay.
"S....stay...?" She asked. The caretaker nodded and smiled at her. "I am Carla. I will take care of you.." she smiled and patted my head. "What's your name...?"
"I....I am........"
"Crystal"
