Crystal's POV

"Yes! Finally back to school! We are going to be in tenth grade!" Scarlet, my brunette bestfriend with green eyes cheered and pumped her fist in the air.

"Really? You are excited for that?" I told her as I twirled my black and blue locks in my hair.

"Of course I would! I would be expecting new lessons, teachers, stuff and friends!"

I smiled and shook my head. Typical Scarlet, getting always excited about new things....I just hope she could contain her googoo happiness of sorts.

"How about you? Aren't you going to be excited?" She raised and eyebrow and crosses arms.

I just shrugged. "Why would I? Its still the same, every year ya know....always being messed up by those brats..."

Scarlet kept quiet and sat down. She truly knows what it means. Well, if everyone in the school have friends, why not enemies, right? Kinda too obvious like saying if there is love, there is hate.

She said and putted a hand on my shoulder. "Crystal, don't worry....we can ignore them...."

I just nodded and patted her hand. Oh...the joy of having a best friend on your side always.....

Her face brightened and she jumped up. "Why don't we ask Miss Carla if we can make cookies for our snacks? We could share some to the younger ones, ya know. It would be fun!" She grinned and flapped her brown hair.

I smiled back. "Yah sure, it would be fun." We both stood up and went out of our bedrooms and went in the hallway.

-----------------------

Voices of cheerful children filled the room. Of course, we are in an orphanage. You would expect children, don't yah?

"Come on! I told you the equation is correct!" Basty, a 10 year old boy with thick glasses that reflected through his blue eyes, exclaimed. "I told you it is the right one, other wise it have to counteract of 6 instead of 3."

"Yah yah, I get it." A blonde haired girl same aged as him, muttered lazily as she munched on her Pepero. "Seriously, Sebastian. I already mastered the chapter 4 of Math, geez....Algebra is equal to Angela, okay? Chill." Angela stood up and waved her hand. "! Crystal-senpai!"

I smiled and waved back. "You don't have to go Japanese over me, Angela." I smiled and messed her hair. "Oi! Stop that!" She pouted and combed her hair with her fingers. I giggled and handed her a comb. "I'll see yah later." I told them and quickly dashed away with Scarlet.

"Oh, a cookie fest, eh?" Miss Carla, smiled and folded her fingers. "Might as well a fun party. We could make it pajama theme, ya know. It somehow involves cookies and milk."

I nodded. "Yes, Miss Carla. And Scarlet and I would like to organize the party. The other teenagers can help, set aside the youngsters. It should be a surprise for them."

Miss Carla nodded and smiled. "A good choice, Crystal. Somehow your creative juices are flowing."

A smiled shyly and looked down. I wasn't used being complimented.

"Well, its settled then! Tomorrow, is the start of your classes. Maybe on the way here, after school, you could buy some materials and other stuff for the party. You can also ask help from the teenagers."

"Will do, Miss Carla!" Scarlet exclaimed and saluted. Miss Carla chuckled and patted her head. "You better rest now, girls. You have first day of school tomorrow, your first day of tenth grade."

"Haí, Carla-sensei."  I told her. She smiled and dismissed us. As soon as we left her office, Scarlet jumped up and down and squealed.
