Emily POV
I groaned out loudly as the little streaks of light shone through my curtains. My head was throbbing and my eyes were red, no doubt they were also puffy from all the silent crying I did last night. My future is destroyed and my hopes to marry someone I would love whole heartedly were now down the gutter with the rest of my wasted efforts. How could this be happening to me? What had I ever done to deserve this??After laying in bed thinking about my life and every moment, I decided to get a grip and ready myself for school. My feet thudded loudly against the floor as I walked towards my wardrobe, pulling out black skinny jeans and a white top with my favourite black leather jacket. I might as well enjoy whatever time I have left. I made my way to my bathroom and groaned when the cold tiles made contact with my feet. I splashed some cold water on my face and shook a little when the cold feeling bit at my skin. Grabbing my toothbrush I began brushing my teeth and pulling on my clothes.
I walked out of the bathroom giving myself an approving look as I observed my outfit in the mirror. I smiled in approval and grabbed my hair brush, brushing it through my long auburn curls. Grabbing my bag and phone I made my way downstairs to see my parents already comfortably sat at the breakfast table attending to their food in front of them.
"Oh good Emily you're up, I was wondering when you'd wake up". My mother said as she pulled out a plate for me to eat.
"I'm running late so I'm going bye mom , bye dad." I wasn't really in the mood to be having a civil conversation with either of them.
My heels clicked against the pavement as I walked along it. I pulled out my phone and saw it was 8:25am I knew if I walked fast enough I would get there on time. I scrutinised my face as I saw a big crowd of people around the road. I wonder what's happened now?Josh's POV
I sat at the long table as the cook served up my breakfast. My stomach growled before I could even cut into my French toast. Hoping to avoid a conversation with my dad I hurriedly ate and grabbed my keys and phone making way towards my car. Before getting in to the drivers seat I looked at my reflection and smirked in approval as my hand went into my hair giving it a tousled look every chick loved. I got into my car and started it up slowly driving out of my long driveway.20 minutes later
I had been stuck at the traffic lights for the past 10 minutes and they refused to change colour. My anger was slowly bubbling waiting for me to explode. That's it I can't wait any longer I thought and moved my foot into my gas pedal. I instantly regretted my idea when a cyclist hit into my car. GREAT!! this is exactly what I needed. Another headache!.
The cyclist lay on the floor In front of my car as a slow crowd formed around us.
"Are you blind!!", " what were you thinking you moron". A few people shouted some unpleasant words at me as I got out of my car to observe the damage done to my car.Emily's POV
I crossed the road to see what the fuss was about as the crowd seemed to be very angry towards someone. As I inched closer I saw a man laying on the floor with his cycle laying beside him pointed in different directions. That definitely looks broken. My eyes wandered around the crowd as they followed to where the cussing lead to. A tall guy with blue eyes, broad shoulders and brown perfectly tousled hair stood in the middle whilst observing his....car?. Is he actually being serious right now?. I moved closer to have a look at what had actually happened. My eyes moved rapidly between the idiot observing his car and the poor man laying on the floor groaning in pain. I instantly joined in with the all the cussing and directed it at the idiot who hit the poor man on the floor. What a stupid ass rich jerk?Josh's POV
My eyes wandered around the crowd as a I inwardly groaned. The idiot dented my car!. I tried to block out all the noise but the more I tried the louder it got. As I moved on my foot to get to the door of my car something hit my back. I turned around instantly, only to come face to face with a girl who looked oddly familiar. I allowed my eyes to give her a once over as I took in her long brown curled hair and her edgy outfit. My eyes met with hers and she instantly blushed a little as my lips tugged into a smirk.
"Well...well....well... If it isn't Emmie" I said as I recognised her from my college. I don't know her personally although I'm aware of how popular she is.
"It's EMILY you idiot". She answered back sharply as she rolled her eyes."Emmie, Emma, Emily whatever whatever". I replied nonchalantly as she scoffed at my response. She moved to the man on the floor, possibly checking if he's alive. My eyes focused on the man as I watched carefully. His arm moved and I let out a sigh of relief, the oldies fine.
Emmie , or is it Emma?, pulled out her phone. Her long manicured finger tapped away as she held the phone closer to her ear."Hello, I'm going to need an ambulance." I heard her say I let out a sigh of relief, no cops today then. I waited patiently for her to get off her phone as she pulled me to the side.
I studied her carefully as she pursed her lips. My eyes moved behind her to study my poor baby, a dent was showing on the side of the door. I sighed and rolled my eyes annoyed for the stupid cyclist. My gaze traveled back to Amy, I just can't remember her name ok, and watched as he looked at me with disbelief. A loud smacking sound was heard as it rung in my ears.
My cheek stung with the force of her hand against my check. I was pulled back into reality as I realised what has just happened. Emmie slapped me.
"Well good morning to you too sweetie." Was my clever comeback as she looked at me with disgust strutting off to check on the cyclist. I will be seeing more of her.
