Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. She was always afraid of not being good enough for her parents. One day, she met a girl. A common girl, her age, who came from a poor family. The girl made her feel like she could accomplish the impossible. Even being good enough for her father. Soon, the girl and the princess began to become so close. And the girl knew that she loved the princess. But she knew it was forbidden. Which made it seem so much more amazing. Then one day, the princess noticed her feelings too. She sent a letter for the girl to meet in the royal garden that evening. The princess confessed her forbidden feelings... and so did the girl. They realized that they wanted nothing more than to be together for the rest of their lives. So they decided to get married. The girl told the princess that she would be back for her soon.

The princess trusted her maids to be able to put the whole thing together in secret. So when the wedding day came, she knew that she was going to be with the girl for the rest of her life. Sadly, somehow the princess' father found out about the secret wedding that had been planned. So he came to her while she was peicing herself together for what was supposed to be the best day of her life. He saw her there in her dress and he grabbed her and tore her dress to peices. He reminded her that she was princess and heir to the throne, so if she decided to marry a woman, it would not be tolerated in his kingdom and he could have them both killed. As he said the words, she stood there and in full confidence, and she told him that she would marry the girl and there's nothing he will do to stop it. This caused the king to get angry with his daughter, and he locked her in her room. That night, he sent someone to find the girl and have her murdered for committing treason. The next morning, the princess heard the news of her dead fiancé and she wept. She decided that she couldn't bear to stand it anymore and she took her secret dagger from its hiding place and she took her life.

The girl had appeared in the Princess' window to run away with her because she had escaped from the royal guards. Only to find her laying in a pool of her own blood. The girl saw this and crawled in the room with her and lay next to her love. "I said that I would come back for you" she said with tears rolling down her cheeks. The girl knew that she could not live on her life without the princess, and she took the dagger, grabbed her loves hand, and took her life as well.

When morning came, both girls were found on the floor dead. The King and Queen saw them with their hands held together, with them both in wedding gowns. The Queen sought to it that they be buried next to each other.

After their burial, a strange thing had happened, a rose-sprout began to grow from both graves, and many years later, it grew into a bush that had intertwined with the bush of the other girl. Even in death, they managed to be united.
