Oh wow its me. No I am not going to quote an Adele song because that is far too common. However yes, it is me and I am glad to be back. I had to take a break because of exams and all that unnecessary shit and all but alas I have returned with more drama, more sass and my little royal darlings. I hope you enjoy this chapter loves, don't get comfortable because shit will be going down soon after this.

The sound of soft fabric hitting soft fabric was somewhat smoothing to Troye's ears as he sat on the end of his bed, shoes gently scraping against the oak floorboards as Ingrid's quiet breath was heard as she inhaled and exhaled. She was rather relaxing to watch in a way, picking up various pieces of clothing and folding them in a few quick movements before placing them in the suitcase. She was on the third and one of the last suitcases now as the others had been hauled downstairs to the foyer by the butler. Troye sighed to himself, excited to leave yet anxious to fulfil his duty. His mind was scattered as it had been for the past few days, unable to rest and unable to calm. Ingrid glanced up at him with a tranquil expression in her eyes as she smiled at him. Even though he had pushed several times with his father, Ingrid would not be joining him on his stay. It left him with a nauseous feeling in his stomach, the idea of not having her with him.

"Don't go finding any other maids now, you hear?" Troye couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head and scrunching his eyes up. Her light giggle filled the room along with his as they laughed together. He let his eyelids flutter open as he looked at her with such gratefulness; she was his greatest confidant and his closest friend. She had been the one who laughed with him, joked with him, assured him. She had been the one there when he would cry at night after arguments with his father, holding him tightly against her while shushing him lightly. He was about to be chucked into the lion's den and he was terrified that she wouldn't be there with him to protect him. Filled with sudden emotion he rushed to his feet and gathered her into his arms, holding her close to him as she returned the hug. They stayed there for a second before pulling away and grinning at each other.

"How could I replace you Ingrid? No one else could deal with my sorry ass." She laughed at that again, tipping her head back lightly as she did so. Troye felt his shoulders relax slightly as she eased some of his tension, his thoughts slowing down for a few blissful minutes as she wrapped her delicate fingers round his shoulders. Of course he knew she wasn't just upset that she couldn't accompany him but also because she wouldn't be able to see a certain someone of hers. Troye wasn't oblivious to Ingrid's fascination with Eleanora's chef and there had been a twinkle in her eye when they returned home and he complimented the food to gauge a reaction. It was definitely cute and he definitely approved.

"Of course not, but I wouldn't want to serve anyone else's sorry ass," she paused for a few moments with mirth in her eyes before growing more serious, "stay safe okay Troye. That kingdom isn't quite right, I don't know what it is but it just isn't right. Please be careful." Troye nodded and hugged her once more before she returned to packing the clothes, Troye attempting to help her but she quickly turned him down, claiming he was useless. He had rolled his eyes at her and thrown a piece of fabric which she promptly folded in a few seconds. He was soon downstairs with his suitcases being loaded on to the boat that was waiting in the docks. Connor and his father were talking to Troye's father and Troye was reminded that Connor would be accompanying him on his stay. Connor was okay but Troye would rather be left alone as his stomach was feeling queasy and disgusting. He was going to be responsible for the start of a war- Troye instantly heaved at the thought and distracted himself with saying goodbye to his mother. She was formal as ever at first but just before he left she had a moment of tenderness as she hugged him tightly.
