So it's the first day, it's 5:20 and I am extremely nervous. I flat ironed my hair last night and painted my nails a dark cranberry color. I decided to wear khaki pants and white shirt with my black and white converse. I did my makeup really pretty because I wanted to look as good as possible. First impressions are very important to me.

The bell rang five minutes ago and I haven't walked in yet, only because I couldn't find the class! English with Mrs.Conesa was my first period. I hoped she was nice.
I walked in and walked towards her desk, she was on the computer taking attendance.
"Hi sweetie good morning! Welcome I'm Mrs.Conesa you can take a seat in the last row" she said with a big smile. I smiled back and said good morning. She was really pretty and did her makeup really good too, I knew we'd get along quite well.
"By the way I love your makeup" I said

"same to you, I love your eyebrows" she said. In a way I felt honored.

Everyone was starring at me which made me even more nervous than I already was.

" So good morning class you guys, for the students who don't know me I'm Mrs. Conesa and I will be your English teacher this year. I see a lot fresh faces here maybe we can begin by all introducing ourselves? Michael since you're my favorite, you start"
Michael started talking and I dose off thinking about how I was going to survive the rest of the day. I didn't know anybody and no one seemed to want to start a conversation with me. Michael finally stopped talking about how he loves animals and Mrs.Conesa called on the next person
"Andrew your next"
Suddenly my trance has been broken. I stopped staring at the wall and locked my eyes on Andrew. He was extremely cute and dressed well too. He seemed to be popular since he was making jokes and all of his boys were clapping him up.
I continued staring at him as he talked about himself. I didn't want him to stop. I wasn't the only one either. He had hazel eyes that the sun hit just right, and wavy short hair with braces. He had tan skin and looked like he worked out which was good because I liked working out too.
Eventually, he stopped and the next person went. I continued discretely staring at Andrew.
11:35 came and it was lunch time. The kids in there were going crazy. As if they never ate before. I plugged in my headphones and listened to music. I sat alone at the last table in the back of the cafeteria praying that someone would come up to me and make conversation. Nobody came. But that was alright cause my mind was on Andrew. I pictured him in my mind, I imagined him and I being together as a couple. That's when I knew for a fact I was going crazy. I took out a dollar from my wallet and got up to go buy something from the vending machine.
The hallway was empty which was good because I needed a chance to breath from that loud stuffy cafeteria. I put the dollar in and GREAT the chips got stuck. I hit the machine continually hoping that the bag would fall. Just my luck I thought.
"That machines known to be broken.Everyone here knows that" A voice from behind me says. I turn around, it was Andrew.
"Yeah, everyone but me I guess" I say trying to make a come back.
"Are you knew here? I've never seen you around before. You a freshman?
"No. I'm a sophomore. And yes I am new here" I say with a smile on my face
"I'm a sophomore too. You're gonna like it here I know I do."
"Hopefully, I mean so far it's been good"
"For me too. Especially since I just met you"
I laughed and leaned against the vending machine crossing my arms
" oh really?"
"yes really. What's your next period?"
"I have JROTC room 314"
"an army girl huh"
"yeah I might be"
He walked me to my next block and hugged me good bye.
"Oh wait before I go, why was your name? I'm Andrew"
"I'm Ariana"
"Well Ariana I'll see you tomorrow then"
"see ya"
Wow I thought. I was in awe. I  really hoped he liked me because I was honestly feeling him. I've never really had feelings for anyone besides Justin Bieber so I didn't know how to feel or what I was even feeling. I knew I was definitely feeling something real though.
"Oh my freaking god bro you know Andrew?" A girl sat next me with her eyes wide open like if she couldn't see that I was literally a foot away from her.
"No. I mean yeah. Well we just met" I said to her
"I've had the biggest crush on him since forever. He's so cute"
"yeah he's cute I guess" but what I actually wanted to say was "OH MY GOD I KNOW RIGHT IS'NT HIS SMILE PERFECT AND HIS HAIR OHHH MYY..." But I didn't. I mean, I didn't even know this girl.
"I'm Vicky, by the way. And don't think I'm a weirdo from what I just told you"
"I'm Ariana and trust me I won't"
Me and Vicky went on to have a good conversation about relationships and the things we hate. She seemed really cool.
When I went home I wasn't completely disappointed like I thought I would be. I was actually really happy. For the first time in a long long time I felt really happy.
