"It was you your the one I want . Your the one I should've been going after not her . You've been here this whole time . I'm a idiot Linda , I want you." He said to me breathing hard in to the phone as if his whole life depended on telling me that short sentence. "Do you want me ?" He asked hopefully . Just earlier that week I had told him he meant a lot to me and I hope we could be more than friends if he'd stop focusing on a girl who was no good for him , who had even told him there would be nothing between the two. "Brendin.. I'll give it a try .. " I said unsure. The what ifs tore through my brain . What if he is playing with me . What if he is just rebounding . But with my unsure thoughts , I went to sleep anyways.

I woke up confused to what had happened the night before . What had I gotten in to I thought over and over again in my head . On my way to school I had replayed last night in my head . Maybe it was just a one time think . There's no way he could actually mean what he told me . Brendin likes me , my best friend likes me ? What ? I've had the biggest crush on him since school started . And he wants me back ? He wants me ?
I entered the school curious to what was gonna happen . I walked down the A-side of school , toward the gym , Because that's where my locker was . As I was walking Brendin caught my eye. He was standing there with his friends . Just leaning against the pillar . I didn't think he would say anything to me . As I passed him I heard him say gotta go . At that moment my stomach was turning like I was going down a roller coaster.
"Hi Linda." He surprised me with a hug from the back  . "Hi Brendin"
