"Ready?" Nate asked me as we crept into Blake's locker.
We came to school together at 7:30, so there aren't that many students yet.
"Ready," I whispered, taking out a card from my bag and slipped it into Blake's locker. "Step one, complete."
"Oh, look who is coming," Nate whispered, dragging me out of the lockers.
I took a peek from the wall to see a boy with a familiar dirty blond hair coming closer to our sight. Blake Adams was standing in front of his locker and opened it.
"He saw the card," I whispered to Nate, who was also hiding behind me. "Time for action."
As Blake took the card out and read it, I got out of my hiding place and walked to him.
"Oh, hi Blake," I said with a cheery tone. Drama club has been really helping me improve my acting skills. "Do you know where's Michelle?"
"Hey," he answered, looking quite surprised. "Oh, she hasn't t- I don't know, I haven't seen her today."
"Alright, thanks for the information," I said, giving him a fake smile. My eyes then landed on the card he was holding on. "What's that?"
"I don't know, someone must be pulling a sick joke," he chuckled. "It said, 'Congratulations, you have earned a reward for breaking a girl's heart.' Any ideas who might have sent this to me?"
"Hm," I said as if I were thinking. "I'm not sure. That person must really mean- I mean, you didn't break Michelle's heart didn't you?"
"Well," he said as his hands scratched the back of his neck. "I-"
"Hey, Anna," Nate said, suddenly appearing beside me. "And Blake. Can I talk to you?"
"Yeah, sure," I said. "See you around, Blake."
When we were far from Blake, Nate exclaimed, "That was sick, Anna! Drama club was really helpful to you; you could be an actress someday."
"Thanks, you're not bad yourself," I said with a grin. "I hope I can."
"So step two completed," Nate said as we both fist pumped. "Step three will be completed during or after lunch."

Soon, it was lunchtime, and Nate, Michelle and I sat in our normal place.
"Hey, I haven't seen you both the whole day," Michelle said.
Only Nate and I shared Chemistry together today. Not that chemistry alright? Nate, Michelle and I shared Home Ec. and Math, Nate and I shared English, French, and Chemistry together, while Michelle and I both share History and Spanish.
Yes, I take both Spanish and French because I want to learn both languages and don't know which one to take, so I took both.
"Where have you been?" she asked.
"Doing stuff," Nate said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"We aren't kidding when we said we are going to finish your business with him," I said, and I regretted saying that because Michelle's expression suddenly turned to a frown for a second. "No, Chelle, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that."
"No, it's fine," she said, smiling a little; with a glint of hurt flashed in her eyes. "I just had a sudden flashback of him and me together."
"Don't worry, you'll get someone way better than him," I said. "Or not I'll help you find someone. I mean we; right Nate?"
