What The Eye Doesn't See

Chapter One - Resistance

Hey, as we've established, I'm not a good writer. so dont blame me....for...I dunno, whatever. :p anyway, thanks, comment, vote and stuff love yooouuu <3

Don't think I don't try to get rid of this - I do.

I've tried staying awake but I always end up drifting off at some point.

I've tried leaving a camera on while I sleep to just get to see the creature but either, the battery runs out, my camera has been wrecked or the batteries have been taken out.

I've also tried getting my brother to stay awake with his pocket knife so he can slay whatever the thing that comes out of my dreams is but he always says he remembers seeing something but the rest was hazy or he falls asleep.

I've tried so much more they're too many to name, anything to find this...thing.

This dreamwalker as we call it is not me. As I said, my brother watches me and says I never get up. A light fills the room and something comes out and touches him...but the rest....as I said...he can't remember.

It seems to be a curse.

We have searched all over old books and websites but whenever we find something interesting...it leads to nothing.

All my friends can't invite me for the night because they're too afraid.

Let me tell you just what the dreamwalker does.

It trashes places, turning the house or bedroom or garden upside down and inside out....like it's..looking for something. It steals. Watches, brooches, wallets, antiques. Anything precious or important to anyone. And finally...it murders. Not people...yet. Dogs, cats, mice, gerbils, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs. But it seems to be murdering more and more and more, like it's building up to something bigger, someONE stronger to murder.

So here I am. An 18 year old girl, sitting in bed, staying awake for as long as she can, wondering about the future.

My grades are low, exhaustion doesn't help with school much. The only job I managed to get was at drive thru MacDonalads. I had tried to get the night time shift, so that I had a reason to be awake in the dark hours but I couldn't get that job, you see, if it was daytime, more people would see it so than maybe not everyone would forget..? It was worth a try.
