Friends with the YouTube Stars

*2 years earlier*

I stared at the computer screen, so far all my wanted usernames had been taken. I mean, how hard could it be to find a good YouTube user name?! Obviously very hard, as I had been here for about 30 minutes. All I wanted to do was start a freaking YouTube channel! I typed in 'Grace02' but it was taken. I sighed, leaning back in my chair. I was going to be stuck with a crappy name. I'd tried all the catchy, cool things, but all had been taken. There were too many people on YouTube! I was waiting for a sudden burst of creativity that I knew was not going to happen. Ever. I was like the least creative person in the universe. I locked the computer, and walked to the kitchen, leaving it for a bit.

I was awake in my bed at 2am. I just couldn't sleep. I stared at the ceiling, which was very boring. I was trying to bore myself to sleep basically. I squeezed my eyes closed and sat up, walking to my computer. I unlocked it, typing in my passcode. The screen that came up was the YouTube sign-up screen. I rolled my eyes. I had nothing better to do with my time, so I decided to try and find a username.

Try number 1: HeyItsGrace. Already taken.

2: GraciesChannel. Already taken.

3.GraceTheBoss. Already taken.

4. Graceee. Already taken

5. MessyLittleGrace. Not taken.

I practically jumped out of my chair with happiness. It was a sucky username, but I didn't care. I created the channel and added a banner, a picture and a description. I sounded like a thirteen year old stalker, but I wasn't. I was a 19 year old stalker. I laughed at my own joke as I subscribed to all my favourite YouTubers. I decided to film my first video, so I turned the lights on and put on a different top. I wanted to do a 50 facts about me video, you know, follow the bandwagon. I wrote down a list of all my facts, trying to make them funny.

I filmed the video on my webcam, it was sucky quality but heyho.

After about 2 hours of editing, I put it up.

*2 days later*

I hadn't checked my new YouTube. I wasn't really expecting anything from it, just a bit of fun. But I wanted to watch some Tyler Oakley so I went on. I was logged on, and the first thing I did was check my channel. My mouth basically dropped to the floor when I saw my stats. My video had over 1,000 views, which was hashtag cray cray. I discarded all thoughts of my Tyler marathon and checked the ratings. I had over 100 likes, and only 5 dislikes! The comments were all so sweet, telling me to upload more, and that I was cute. I fangirled insanely. I had to make another video!
