“I’m so scared Danny” I whispered a tear falling slowly from my eye, there had been a power cut, the only light was from the fires outside of the house. Me and my best friend Danny were up in my room, I was scared shitless, the whole world was crumbling right in front of our eyes. You could hear the screams and cries of people outside.
Me and Danny were crunched up in a ball in the corner of my room Danny was holding me in his arms trying to calm me down. Nobody knew this would actually happen. Nobody thought the world was actually going to end, they all thought that it was some science mumbo jumbo. But now it’s happening, it’s the most terrifying thing ever. I don’t know how Danny was coping so well with this, I knew he was scared but I also knew that he was trying to keep calm so I wouldn’t worry so much.
You may be thinking why the hell aren’t I spending my last day on earth with my family, well that’s because they were stupid enough to go outside and something hit them and they died right in front of my eyes. I tried to stop them that’s when I saw Danny running down the street heading towards me and now we’re both here just spending time with each other.
“Sh Ava I know your scared love, so am I, but we’re gonna be okay, we’re not gonna feel a thing, we should just try to relax” he told me I shivered and nodded wrapping my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me putting my legs down from my chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist holding me tightly to his body. “I want us to die in each other’s arms” he whispered in my ear. I pulled away from him slightly only enough so I could look up into his beautiful blue eyes.
“What?” I asked my voice only a whisper he smiled slightly he had the most beautiful smile ever “You heard me Ava, I love you so much, I always have and I always will, and I want to die with you in my arms, I don’t want to be here with anyone else” he told me. Tears started to fill my eyes again, because the plain and simple fact, my love had been returned, he loved me just as much as I loved him. I smiled widely and hugged him tightly again “I love you, I love you too, I love you so much” I said. He hugged me tighter and he chuckled in relief. “I’m so glad you feel the same way” he whispered. And right then something came crashing down outside making a loud bang and me and Danny both jumped apart.
Danny sighed and looked down at me and he knew I was scared. He grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together and gave me a reassuring smile. “It’s okay, we’re okay just chill out, here why don’t we play a game. Let’s play, regrets” he said I gave him a confused look “regrets?” I asked not knowing what the game was he smiled and nodded “yeah something I just made up, what are you gonna regret not ever doing?” he asked I sighed and leaned back against the wall my hand still in his.
“I’ll regret not living my life better, not telling you that I loved you sooner, not going on that French trip because I thought the boat was gonna sink” I said and we both chuckled and the last point. “What about you?” I asked trying not to focus on the world ending outside. He thought about it for a second. “I’m gonna regret not believing that this was all gonna happen, not convincing you to go on the French trip and also not telling you that I think your really hot and that I think you’re the best looking girl in the whole entire world ” he told me and I blushed at what he said.
