Walking up and down, running my hands through my long black curly hair, which is different from everyone else around here, the "half caste" they'd sometimes refer to me. Swinging my eyes around carefully scanning the house which looked like no one's been home for a long time, weird but seemed like a perfect hide out, 'unless the owners return' I thought with a wry grimace.

We drove for hours, just to get here, in the middle of nowhere leaving behind everything, even Aisha the closest thing I've ever had to a sister. He said she'd be safer without me. I didn't know why i trusted him, but I knew my life isn't going to be the same again, and i did not want her getting hurt. So I'd followed him sheepishly into a minivan, the kind that's used to deliver pizza. Extremely quiet throughout the drive in defiance of the loud never ending questions breeding in my head. I shook my head in disbelief, trying to wrap my head around what happened earlier at the house.

The images of a strong man lifted high up and smashed to the floor without any physical contact flashing my eyes. It was like I was in the X-men movie.

'Is.....is this even real' i thought as I cast a glance at the strange looking "Magneto", who looked like he hasn't had a proper shave or bath in months, if not years, his white complexion, his golden brown hair and a clearly English accent are clear pointers that he's not from around here. I couldn't bear this any longer, and I know exactly where to go for answers. I moved hastily towards the stranger in a room  which looked like an office, entering like I'm being forced to see the principal.

"You have questions, I presume". He uttered instantly, eyes still fixated on what he was doing, as if he knew what I was thinking.

"Can he read minds too" I thought with a dry grimace.

"I cannot say I have all the answers you seek, but I have a significant part" he said, placing his toy gently on the desk and looking up at me.

"Okay where do I star...."

"How about you start from the top?" I interrupted

"Calm down". He prompted me to realize I'm losing control over my emotions.

Quickly dragging a chair closer, and facing the back rails I sat calmly, at least trying to be.

"I'm calm now". I said

"My name is Kaseem Corey". He said staring at me with light brown eyes just like mine.

"Corey, like the name behind my medallion, Aleem Corey?" I interrupted.

"Yes, it belonged to your ancestor from your father side, Aleem Corey; He used it to trap any evil which threatened to destroy the balance in the world. He was a very powerful wizard and a hero". The sudden cocktail of emotions on his face, got me concerned, but I speedily vanquished the feeling, so I can feed my curious mind.

For what seemed like a never ending story, I was starting to dose off on the top rail of the chair

"Get some rest you will need it for tomorrow" he said while standing up to face the window behind him.

I glanced out the window, it was dark and the moon was full, probably the reason I didn't notice the darkness. I exited the office towards a room, I recognised to be the bed room, as I enter scanning every inch of it, it seemed to be pretty clean for an abandoned house.' Maybe he's been here longer than I think, I'll ask him tomorrow', I thought as I laid the king sized bed and jumped into it.

Like some kind of mystery puzzle, I started putting all the pieces together in my head, it's like I've been dipped into a pool of too much information, Even though most of my questions were answered, all it did was stir up more questions.

'Okay my parents were witches, they had to dump me somewhere to protect me, I have an uncle whom I just met, who claims he's here to prepare me from what he didn't say.'

How am I supposed to prepare for something I don't know? He only said a great evil was coming and went on to rattle about prophecies, of the boy who'll make a difference in the world, but still hasn't told me anything about the person at the other end of the phone call, and how everything relates to me. Right when I thought my life couldn't get any worse, this happens.

Suddenly everything was quiet, but one, question, 'Is this going to be my life now?' I closed my eyes shut as I tried to force myself to sleep.
