I entered the small coffee shop and looked around to see if Harry was already sitting at a table, but there was no sight of him.
My mind was telling me to go back home, but my heart decided to drag my body and sit at an empty table to wait for him to come.
I sighed and decided to order a coffee while waiting for him, then pulled out my journal and started writing a scenario I hoped would happen when Harry and I talked in a bit.
I was in so deep in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Harry pulling the chair that was in front of me and sitting right there.
I closed my journal and placed it to the side of the table then took a sip of my coffee, still not looking at him.
"I'm sorry I made you wait; the dean was talking to me." He said running his hand through his hair.
I simply nodded, keeping my mouth shut.
He looked down and sighed.
"Chels, I-" He started, but I cut him off quickly.
"It's Chelsea."
He sighed again.
"Chelsea," he corrected, "are you mad at me?"
I raised an eyebrow.
He looked away a bit and said in a low voice: "o...kay. I'm taking that as a yes..."
He looked back at me and said in a soft voice: "but why?"
I didn't answer and took a sip of my coffee.
"Chelsea, please, answer me!" He said getting frustrated.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a freaking girlfriend? I mean, it's not something someone usually hides!" I snapped at him.
He was taken aback a bit then shook his head slightly: "I don't understand why you're making this a big deal, Chelsea? Yeah, I have a girlfriend; something any teenage lad my age -usually- has."
He said that in such a simple tone that I started boiling.I stood up slamming my hands on the table making everyone's attention in the small shop turn towards me, but I didn't care at that moment.
"BECAUSE YOU DON'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE WHO GROW FEELINGS FOR YO-" I then stopped and realised what I had just done.
I had not only admitted that I was falling for him right in front of him, but everyone in the coffee shop now knew... I had also admitted that to myself mostly too.
Harry was shocked; he was going to stand up and say something but I didn't give him the chance to.
"No Harry, no. Don't say anything. I was so dumb thinking that a guy like you would fall for a worthless girl like me. I... Goodbye." I realized tears were already running down my cheeks, so I quickly took my bag off the chair I was sitting on and ran out of the coffee shop and towards my house.
I looked like a freak running while crying uncontrollably in the empty streets at 6 in the afternoon, but I also didn't care.
I was a dumb girl who had just admitted her feelings to someone who didn't even like her back.
Way to go, Chelsea.
