Last Day Of Term

Sapphire's P.O.V:

"Goodluck for your exams next term and have an amazing holiday! Make sure you complete all you homework and make sure you revise for your upcoming -"

Saved by the bell.

"Class dismissed!"

I grinned and silently gathered my things along with me. Everyone had already made their way out and I was the last person. I slung my bag on my back and walked out of the classroom.

Everyone was rushing out of the main building. It's not even summed yet, so what's with the drama? I sighed and made my way to my locker.

I took the keys out and unlocked it, quietly I replaced my exercise books with my text book, and took my gym bag.

I don't have a lot of friends, wait who am I kidding? I don't have any friends at all!

Ever since Maya died, I've blocked the whole world, listening to music was my only escape.

Yes, I do feel lonely at times but you'd get used to it, if you were me.

Even when I'm in my room all alone for the whole day my mum gets scared incase i might do something stupid.

I locked the locker and made my way out. Taking out my iPod from my front pocket, I checked the time.

12:15pm

I could still drop by in time for a slush, I'm practically being fried like a chicken in this heat.

I took out my headphones and started listening to 'Yeah Boy And Doll Face'. Pierce the veil, my ultimate freedom from all the pain.

I made my way over to 'Afters', it's like an ice-cream Disneyland and it's filled with cakes, loud music, slush. The place is always crowded!

After walking for 10 minutes, I finally reached, only to witness the queue to be so long that it's on the other side of the road!

I moaned and ambled back to the same direction I came. Obviously the place was crowded with school kids all having an after party. Why do they always have to be there? I mean don't they have anything better to do?

After cursing the school kids, I finally made my way home. But it's so hot that I can't stand it anymore! Plus I'm carrying so many heavy books that I'd faint any minute.

Maybe I'll just go to the corner shop and buy myself Monster Energy drink.

I grinned at that thought and walked inside the shop.

I'm pretty close with Alex, like close as in friends. He's 20 and works in the shop with his dad. They don't have enough money for him to go Uni.

I made my way to the back of the shop and placed my hand on the fridge, sliding it open I took out two cans of Monster. Instead of buying one, then coming back for another tomorrow, I'll just buy them now.

I walked over to the counter and took out the money. Alex's dad, Mr. Carter sat there daydreaming. I clicked my fingers in front of him and he snapped.

"You okay Mr.Carter?" I said whilst I placed the money on the table.

"Yeah, Sapphire, I'm just nervous." He replied back whilst taking the drink and placing it in a bag.

"For?"

"Alex, he's gone for an interview, for a job."

"Really, how come he didn't tell me?"

"He didn't even tell me, he just told me about an hour ago, so I'm nervous."

"Aw, don't be! I'm sure he's going to be amazing!" I said and took the bag.

"Thanks, well, see you later!"

"You too!"

I made my way out of the shop and walked to the end of the street.

After the long walk, which was only two minutes long, I reached the dark blue house door. I unlocked the door and entered inside, remembering to shut the door behind.

"Hey mum, I'm home!" I shouted and searched for her.

When I got no reply back, I went to the kitchen to see a note on the fridge.

'Hey love, I'm sorry im not home, they called me back today as one of the doctors is sick, so I'm taking his place. Dinner is in the oven, give me a miss call as soon as you get this so I know your back.

Love you! x'

I reached for the house phone and gave her a miss call. Then I dragged myself up the stairs, to my room. I threw my bag on the bed and took off my shoes and socks.

Grabbing a towel from the hook, I turned on the shower to freezing cold. I'll probably become a penguin or a polar bear, but it's totally worth it!

I stripped out my school clothes and pulled out the hair band that kept my hair in a bun. I took a step inside the shower and closed the door.

It was so cold, but felt good, I took the shampoo and applied it to my hair, then took the foamy soap and scrubbed my body. After washing myself, I applied the conditioner smoothly, then rinsed the water again.

I took the the towel then dried my hair until there was no pool of water dripping down. Then I wrapped the towel around my body and entered the room.

Now the hardest decision of all time. What to wear?

Will it be:

A- Shorts

B- Shorts

Or C- Shorts?

I think the answer is very clear that it'll be shorts! I took out my underwear and bra from the top draw and wore them. Then took a bright pink vest and black shorts, and wore them.

I sighed out in relief and opened the window. I took my dirty school clothes and threw them in the laundry. I hanged the towel on the chair for it to dry then took out my drink and placed one of them in my mini fridge.

I'm so thirsty, that I'm going to HAVE to drink this all in one go.

After refreshing myself, I remembered that I have to send my coursework to my English teacher. I mentally slapped my head and switched on the laptop.

After looking for the file for 20 minutes, I paused.

Did I save it in the USB or in the computer?

After realizing that I saved it on the USB, I frantically searched for it in my bag. It's not there. I always carry it around.

I thought about it, then remembered I had it in one of my books as a bookmark. Yeah, I have a weird idea for things.

Wait.

I left it in one of my exercise books.

Which are in the locker.

Which means.

I'm going to do the Coursework again.

Thanks to my stupid life.

Im going to do it again.

Spending the whole night.

No movies for me I guess.

I'm fucked.
