Premise: In history, love letters have been a proud part of what we learn. There ability to show the passion for someone and the feelings for the said person are quite interesting to read. No matter what we see in these letters, they are heartfelt, emotional, and true to the lover they are writing to, whether the tone is either one of happiness or one of sadness.

Instructions: Write a love letter based on a historical romance. This can be from ancient figures like Caesar and Cleopatra, lovers with feuding families like Romeo and Juliet, or two lovers divided by distance; like a modern business traveler who is away from his lover in another country for a month on business. The sky is the limit as to what you wish to use, and it can be either a getting together or breaking up letter, a letter of jealousy or a letter of lust, essentially any kind of love letter one can write. Feel free to write from any perspective that you wish to (this includes the LGBT community perspectives as well). Please tag with the hashtag #wphfcontest2 and link below in the comments.
