Star Wars Elseworlds: Book One

Part Two

                The Clone Army followed me into the Jedi Temple, as we entered the massive building, the carnage unfolded. The troopers began slaughtering the Jedi that opposed them; I had to go for the more skilled targets, some council members had to be at the temple, I just knew it.

I walked up the set of stairs that'll get me to the council room. As I made it up the stairs, two Jedi ambushed me, they weren't going to be a problem. One of them launched themselves at me and in an instant I threw my lightsaber through his chest, the other readied his and I strangled him using the force. Not a problem at all.

I sprinted to the other side of the long hall where another staircase was, which lead to the floor that the council room was on. I swiftly ran up the stairs, lightsaber in hand. Three Jedi were on the stairs and I quickly Cut one down as she was about to attack, the other blasted me with the force, causing me to go flying towards the railing. I blocked his strike and blasted him off the stairs with the force, if the fall didn't kill him, the troopers will. The third one deactivated his lightsaber and ran away, but I gripped him with the force and threw him off the stairs, again, the troopers will finish him if the fall doesn't.

I got up the stairs and ran to the door which lead to the council room. I blasted the door open with the force, but no council members, just younglings.

One of the children walked up to me and whimpered "are you here to help us?". I looked around the room and saw the librarian cowering among the rest of the younglings. I wasn't ready to kill children, but palpetine's voice ran through my head "Leave no survivors".

The dark room was illuminated by my crimson red lightsaber, all the children began screaming fearing for their lives, I had to do this! This was my master's orders; I have to kill them all.

The child standing in front of me looked at me in horror, he could sense the darkness inside of me, it started scaring him. I picked him up with the force and strangled him as quick and painless as I could. The other ten children in the other side of the room began screaming, I blasted all of the chairs to the windows, nearly sending them outside the windows. I picked up two children along with the librarian and threw my lightsaber, hitting the three of them, killing them; the remaining children were screaming bloody murder. I walked over towards them and closed my eyes as I slashed away at the children, their screams filled the room, I didn't stop until the screams did, then I opened my eyes.

The room was filled with dead younglings. I dropped to my knees; I knew that I couldn't come back from that, even for me, that was dark.

Two troopers came into the room

"My lord, we are clearing out the remaining Jedi, in the temple, no Jedi has escaped"

I stood up and moaned "Good, now hold the temple, put out a distress signal here, bring as much Jedi here as you can, those who are dumb enough to come back here will parish like the rest"

The two troopers saluted and said "Yes sir" Before running off into the hallway where they came.

I walked over to one of the windows and admired the view. The temple had a dark veil of smoke hovering over it, it was quite the sight to see.

I walked out of the Council room and headed back down the stairs leading to the entrance.

At the entrance I saw my master along with two senators which were in one his cause, I got closer and knelt down in front of him

"The Jedi inside of the temple have been eradicated, My Master, what are your new orders" I groaned

Palpetine began cackling like a madman, he walked past me and said "Very good, my young apprentice, very good, now we can move into the next phase of our plan"

I stood up "Which is?" I asked

He placed his hand on one of my shoulders and said "To have everyone hear our voice, hear how our new empire will bring peace to the galaxy"

"You're going to tell everyone in the senate? I suppose having our voices heard is a great way to know that the rules have changed" I replied

"Yes my young apprentice, now, come back to my office we have much planning to do for cause" Palpetine said as we walked through the entrance of the temple.

We kept walking and made our way onto a gunship "Bring us back to my office, pilot" Palpetine shouted

"Yes my lord" The pilot replied through the radio.

We flew through the air for a moment and landed on the landing pad on Palpetine's office.

We walked off and the gunship flew off into the distance, Palpetine eventually said

"words cannot express how impressed I am with you, my young apprentice, I am eternally grateful for what you've done"

Palpetine used the force to fix the destruction that had been caused by Windu and those who had attacked him earlier today.

"Now, kneel before me my young apprentice"

I knelt down before him as he sat in his chair

"Whatever you ask of me master I will do, just give the order" I said

"We'll save your orders for later, I say it is time for you to be given the title Darth...Natilus...yes...Natilus, The Rodain word for Ruler, Darth Natilus" Palpetine groaned

I stood up and gave him a short bow "I will honour this title, Master, I will not disappoint you"

Palpetine grinned and groaned"I know you won't...My young apprentice"
