Justin made breakfast. It was scrambled eggs and turkey bacon, but he made breakfast and we sat together at the counter and talked. He told me about Canada and how he missed his Mom. He asked me about what it was like growing up with a cop and laughed when I told him about it. He told me my childhood was like being "wrapped in bubble wrap with a safety helmet on". He's not wrong, I missed out on a lot of things but I didn't ever cry about it.
We had such a normal morning after we both woke up on the couch, his arm around my stomach as he almost fell off the edge. He kissed my forehead the second we both woke up and went into the kitchen.
After breakfast, he showered and changed into a pair of grey joggers and a white t-shirt and sat on the couch next to me as I texted Amra that I would be over soon to get my stuff. I realized it was only 9 AM and I needed to be home by noon.
"So, I was thinking," Justin began and I smirked, looking up at him.
"Don't hurt yourself." I snickered and he gave me a snarky glare. "Ok, what were you thinking?"
"We should go out," he grinned. "I can pick you up and take you to dinner. No interruptions or anything. Just us, in clothes fancier than we are, in a restaurant we'll both hate but I wanna do it." I giggled at his words, because they were true. I had told him I didn't like fancy restaurant because always left hungry but it was a cute gesture. "After that, I'll take you to Chick-fil-a and we can pig out on chicken minis and waffle fries. Ok?"
"When?" I asked him, biting my lip. It couldn't be a time I had practice or when my father would be home. He wouldn't let me go.
"Next Friday, if that works for you." He licked his lips. "Is that ok?" I nodded, smiling wide before we both fell silent and I watched the game that he had put on. Soccer, the bane of my existence. He put his arm out to me, wrapping it around my waist as he pulled me towards him. "I don't want you to leave, Ted."
"I have to. My Dad's gonna get worried." I laid my head against his chest, my body between his legs as we sat together. "I like being here though."
"You should come over more often." He laid his chin on the top of my head, holding my waist tightly.
"Trade places with Toby," I snorted. "He's sure taken my place."
"Really? You fucked Amra endlessly?" He laughed and I rolled my eyes.
"So not what I meant." I mumbled, slapping his arm. That's not my thing.
"I know, babe." He chuckled. "I know what team you play for."
"I play for the Lady Stallions, actually. That's the team I play for." I said nonchalantly.
"I might go to one of your games soon. Just tell me when they are."
"Sounds like a couple thing to do," I raised my right eyebrow, looking up at him. He just smirked, looking away from me. "We have a game on Thursday but it's at a school 20 minutes away. It's our rival game."
"I'll be there," he kissed my cheek. "If you want me to."
"I do." I nodded, standing from his lap. "I should get going, though." I told him, leaning foreword to kiss his lips. "Thank you for yesterday and this morning."
"Thank you for being here." He kissed me again before I stood back up. He stood up with me, taking my hand. "Don't forget about Friday, ok? And I'll see you at your game. Will your Dad be there?"
"No. He'll be in court on Thursday. He's testifying, so don't worry about it." I sighed, looking up at him. I really don't want to go. He's been so nice and we get along so well. "I'll text you later, ok?"
"I'll be waiting for it, Teddy Bear." I rolled my eyes at his nickname and he chuckled, pulling me into a tight hug. "I'll see you later."
"Ok." I nodded, pulling back. His eyes lingered on mine for a second before I grabbed the door knob and turned to walk out. I felt his hand on my lower back and I immediately turned back to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his chest. He placed his lips on mine and I placed my hands on his face as he kissed me slowly.
The door clicked shut when he pressed my back against it, pulling my legs around his waist. "I don't want you to go yet." He whispered against my lips.
"My Dad will report me missing." I smirked, pulling away from him, looking up at his soft eyes. "I have to go, Justin."
"Will you come back?" He asked before kissing my forehead. "Please come back."
"I'm right down the street, ok? My Dad works long hours so I can come by whenever." I smiled, brushing his dark root blonde hair back. "It's not like I'm moving to Africa." I giggled and he licked his lips.
"Fine," he huffed childishly. "I'll see you later then?" I nodded, pecking his lips before I actually walked out this time. The door clicked and I ran across the lawn to Amra's house.
"Stop fucking, I'm here." I announced when I walked in. To my shock, they were sitting on the couch, watching a movie. "Oh, hey."
"Hey, how was Justin's?" Amra asked with a smile as she laid on Toby's chest.
"Good. He's nice, little clingy but nice." I smiled and Toby chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm gonna go change and head home. My Dad is on the verge of a heart attack already."
"Ok. I'm glad you had some fun, T." Amra mumbled, smiling up at me. I nodded before going upstairs.
I did have fun. For the first time in a long time. I had fun. With a boy.
