For life to begin there is a Creator, For life to end there is a purpose, For life to succeed you need a defender, For when life is to fail submit and surrender. Therefore be ready for life's changes, and be decisive about choices, the time will come to let go.
-Salyna Partida
In the mid century there reigned a kingdom called Animus Inopia, quite an unusual name for a kingdom but it meant "mind, soul, and want" odd you say, I know. You see the king of our city King Adalricus De Aureo Vado had a problem with wanting instead of giving which soon led him to his death bed, then to the grave.
It became clear that his wife Queen Lucinda De Aureo Vado had the right to take his position as queen of Animus Inopia.
The kingdom saddened for the loss of their king, for he still loved the children. As the days darkened there came about war between the resisting allies of Animus Inopia.
The kingdom of Asterade and the kingdom of Nydiralle had been dreadfully threatened by a kingdom with no heart, Thalimi.
My story begins on a rainy and windy afternoon in our cottage in Animus Inopia. My father, and Alexia the ten year old little sister who in fact had quite enough of the day's stormy sky's.
"Why can't the rain stop for me to play outside?" Telling me with a sour face.
"Why can't you be patient and play with your toys inside.""I don't want to." She stomped her foot on the ground and continued "I have no one to play with."
I could tell she was watching me study for my test. It wasn't my fault she was bored, there were plenty of things she could do. As for our family, my father has work on the fields, well he's a farmer.
He's usually out milking the cows or harvesting grain for winter. My mother on the other hand well she, she died ten years ago. We don't talk about her much but I think about her a lot. Alexia was just a baby when she died so the effect was far less hurtful.
I could slap myself for how much thinking I had done, Cynthia, focus.
*BHAM*
I jumped out of my seat "That did not sound good!"
Quickly I rushed through the house to find Alexia. She had been sitting in the corner, crying not knowing what to do. We could hear shots coming from different directions. I closed the door behind me and rapped ourselves with a blanket near by. "Are you ok."
"I'm fine just scared." She said in a quiet manner
I know looking through the window would be a bad idea but it was the only was we could see what was happening I peaked my head up to the window from where we were siting and saw smoke from a distance.
The gunfire and explosions were still loud from miles away.
This is Animus Inopia a place where rebels, Maffia, or mutineer attack at anytime or day. They steal, kill and destroy all on behalf of there ruler.
No one knows where there hid-out is, we have sent people to discover but to no avail none have come back. Even if we do live on the country side of Animus we can still hear destruction from the city's not to mention the horrible sounds of screams that go with it.
Dad says they wouldn't care for killing us we are nothing but dirt to them, they wouldn't notice our cottage. As much as I wanted to believe him, I didn't, then I heard the front door swing open.
