Hey everyone!
So,here goes chapter 1.

Coming out from the airport, I realised just how cold New York is. Luckily, I had packed sufficient winter clothes for my time here.
Clutching my jacket closer to my body and hood put on, I called for a cab.
Soon enough, I reached my destination.

New York University.

This will be my place for the next 4 years, was my first thought.

Taking my luggage out of the cab, I proceeded towards the huge building in front of me.

"Excuse me, may I know where the reception is?", I asked a guy with golden-brownish hair who looked a few years older than me.

"Help will be given in exchange for your name." He smiled dorkily.

"Evelyn." I smiled shyly.

"Aha, well Evelyn, it's a pleasure to meet you. You look new here so I'll lead you the way. Btw I am Adam and I am a member of quite a few clubs in here, so if you my lady, need help with anything. I'll be your knight in shining armour." He winked at the last part.

Well, I wasn't gonna lie saying I wasn't enjoying his sweet talks because he really was a smooth talker. Also, because this was probably not everyday that a guy, as good-looking as him tries to charm you. Yet I know better than to fall for him. Don't want to lose our ambitions now, do we?

Even if there are hot, muscled, gorgeously gorgeous distractions with drool worthy dimpled smiles.

Whew!

I was literally mind ranting right now.

Adam chuckled.
I looked at him confused.

"What?"

"You know, you just spaced out right now and were pouting. Pretty hilarious."

"Oh, sorry." I squeaked.

"Nah, I think that's cute."

I blushed hard.

Soon enough, we reached the Administration Office.

"Thanks for your help, I'll take it from here."

"I see, getting rid of me too soon." He smirked.

"No, that's not what I meant-"

I was cut from my rant.

"Chill girl, just kidding. See you around." He winked and jogged off.

Still feeling flustered, I made my way to the desk.

A lady in her mid-thirties sat there, talking on the phone.

When she saw me, she held up her finger with an apologetic smile.

I gave her a reassuring smile and went to sit on one of the chairs.
As I waited, I finally got called up.

"Hi there dear, how can I help you?"
