*In Sonic's Bedroom. Sonic's sleep in his bed. His mom enters to room.*

Bernie: Wake up, sleepy head! The sun's been up for ages!

Sonic: Umm...Just five more minutes, Mom...

Bernie: You're late Sonic!

Sonic: School?! * He gets up* Oh no! Why didn't you wake me up before?! Oh, the alarm didn't go off! Oh no! I can't believe this! Hang on a sec, school's out! The alarm didn't go off because I'm on vacation! Oh mom, your joke isn't funny!

Bernie: Sonic... Well, you fell for it, didn't you?

Sonic: I'm sleepy. I'm going back to bed. *He go to the bed*

Bernie: You should try going to bed earlier, you know. You were up really late last night.

Sonic: I was reading...

Bernie: *Picks up a book from the floor* "Fairies: Myth or Reality?" Ugh, don't you ever get tired of these silly things?

Sonic: They're not silly, okay?

Bernie: Actually, now that school is over, you can help me in the shop!

Sonic: Oh man!!

*In Kitchen*

Chuck: Good morning sunshine!

Sonic: DAD! I'm not going to spend my summer working in the shop! I wish I could go somewhere fun with my friends!

Bernie: When you're older you can go wherever you want.

Sonic: How old is older? I'm already fifteen dad...

Bernie: Already fifteen... you are still my little boy!

(Sonic recalls how he was small)

Sonic: Ugh. Dad! It's not fair!

Chuck: Listen, in a few weeks, we will all be flying to the beach as we do every year.

Sonic: But all my friends go on holidays by themselves, that would've been the best present ever.

Bernie: Well, speaking of presents, we've got a little surprise for you!

Chuck: Yeah, a little something to help you around Metropolis!

Sonic: Really! Thanks, dad!

*Hanging out in front of house*

Sonic: Huh?

*Sonic sees the bike*

Chuck: Nice huh?

Sonic: Oh well... yeah, *frowns* thanks...

*Sonic gets on his bike and riding it to the town*

Chuck: See he doesn't know what to say!

Bernie: I don't know, maybe he was expecting something, a bit more... sophisticated.

Chuck: A bicycle with a speedometer? Maybe...

Bernie: A scooter, Chuck!

Chuck: But scooters are dangerous, and they cost a lot of money.

Bernie: We will try to put some money aside, maybe next year we could get him one.

*On Streets of Metropolis*

Sonic (speaks in his mind): Ohh, he will never change! My dad won't ever let me ride anything faster than a bicycle.

Nazo: Hey Sonic! Vacationing in Metropolis this year?
